Yeah, I was thinking of it too and you are probably right. I think I won't use it just yet and try to contact the author for permission. I was always planning to do so, but artstation interface is not very user-friendly and I was excited to share what I did in my free time.

IIRC, there's a better version of that in the HPack resources. I'm pretty sure the skull itself had been animated (jaw closed).

Are those intended for Heretic or for Doom? They seem to fit the Doom key colors...

Paletted for doom, yes. I'll have a look at the resource pack too.

 

(If only I knew how to download the whole repo lmao)

I like tinkering with the classic rusty metal textures - here are a couple of exit variants I just made (I'll update my smegtex WAD tomorrow probably):

I also thought it would be interesting to add a switch into the mix to turn the fire on and off, but didn't settle for anything good yet.

 

As a bonus, extinguished torches. It's not quite clear what they are at a glance, but might work when mixed with working ones.

I suppose you can post links to these texture packs, especially if they aren't on well-known sites like The Afterglow or Realm667.

I haven't really made many textures for doom but here's a couple.

Generic brick texture. It's based off a photo I took of some bricks from my old school. I wanted to use it in a wad but ultimately I just used the stock doom 2 textures.

Red skybox. Just based off a random photo I took of the valley I live in. (higher res version here)

Don't know if this one counts since It's based off an HDRI from Polyhaven but I did modify it somewhat.

Anyone ever thought about shrinking metal hexagon flat before? Surely, I can't be the first one, but I never saw it done.

Any chance you have a blank board and paper textures? They would be easy to fill from the image, but would be convenient in case someone might want to add something to this set.

I have the blank version I edited from the duke texture but no paper texture : /
