And yeah, I have no doubt in my mind that the quote is vandalism. Impse did not exist until later, and the bit about a "paraplegic on a rocket powered wheelchair" is a dead giveaway.

I don't think Carmack would ever say something so silly in an interview, and I don't think an interviewer would ask such stupid things. I call bullshit on the whole thing.
