That said, cereals (as in breakfast cereal) aren't very common here in Brazil

FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT. The flavor and the texture in my opinion are just way better, especially with cereals like cinnamon toast crunch, the soggy texture the milk gives the cereal just feels gross to me.

Happy birthday homie, my 18th birthday was a couple months ago but I basically had the same feeling, it's more of a general feeling I have for most "special" events like holidays and the past few birthdays I've had. I guess i've come to accept that most of these special days just don't do anything for me, most birthdays or holidays I just move on with my day like I would any other. At least on my 18th birthday my mom got me a nintendo switch and a copy of botw so i was pretty happy that time, but other than that I couldn't tell you anything of note that happened in the past few years on my birthday or on christmas or any similar special day
