I can't see a number here. At least, not the way I want to see it. Apparently there is supposed to be a 74. I can kinda make out a 21, but only if i look really hard.
Yeah :/
damn it, where the fuck is that 74?

I saw a 21, then a 24. Then it became a 74

I intended to resurrect this thread with a fact "I'm a necromancer", because I thought it would be funny.

But I keep forgetting and give up.

I'm a big enthusiast of classic arcade and pinball machines. Lucky for me there are two decent barcades within a short driving distance from me. I'm also only about a 5 hour drive away from the Galloping Ghost, the world's largest public collection of arcade machines.

Probably my favorite era for both arcade and pinball is the late 80s through early 90s. Next time I'm at the Ghost I need to do a full playthrough of Black Tiger.

Also despite living in the dead center of America I haven't ate at a McDonald's since 2019. Its a streak I intend to keep going for as a long as possible.

When I was a kid, I was launched off of a trampoline and had a pretty severe head injury, resulting in some permanent memory loss.

Outside of working in healthcare, I have saved 4 people's lives.  1 guy twice. Pulled him out of the road before he got greased by a truck, pulled him out of the mud while he was passed out drunk face down in the rain. I noticed my mom was having some issues and got the EMS there before she slid into a diabetic coma, blood sugar 1300+.  We didn't know she was diabetic.  (OK, the EMS did the real life saving, but still she'd have been dead if I wasn't keeping a close eye on her), had a jetski break down down in the river in front of a barge and my friend froze, had to swim him and the ski back to shore before we got sucked under.  Then there's the time my junkie buddy fell out and I CPR'd his ass back from the grave.

Couple months ago I picked up drawing, still far from good, but I can see that with each try I'm learning something new, besides training my hand muscle memory.

Backstory first: So, this one time, in Band Camp Contest...

This happened in my sophomore year of high school (1978-79), at our annual Region Marching Band Contest. I'd been a cymbal player in the drumline most of the year, but for the contest show, the band director had me play a tambourine during our opening number, and swap between the tambourine and a cowbell during the big production closing number. Everything went fine in rehearsals and in the halftime show the night before, but for some reason a freshman bass drummer wound up taking my tambourine home with him, with copious promises that he'd remember to bring it back for Contest.

He didn't.

So, in short, I improvised, and wound up playing our whole smegging Region Marching Band Contest program on a gorram cowbell. I was the living embodiment of the phrase, "More Cowbell," before Christopher Walken ever walked onto the set of Saturday Night Live.

And so it goes.
