Frisky Posted January 12, 2017 What are the best .sf2 files to use for SLADE 3? I use SLADE 3 to jam out to the original midis from my various favorite wads. If you do have one I could use, please link me to a download or something. Thanks in advance. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Reisal Posted January 13, 2017 WeedsGM3 is a good one, it's not huge and it sounds really good for Doom's music. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted January 13, 2017 I use Airfont 380 GM Final. It and a lot of other soundfonts are found here. Use this to extract the .sf2 from the .sfpack. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
riderr3 Posted January 13, 2017 I recommend ChoriumRevA.sf2 I use it with PRBoom+ and Slade. Also with VirtualMidiSynth and SoundFont Midi Player by Zoltán Bacskó (very useful stuff, because native Windoze midi player is sucks). 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Danfun64 Posted January 14, 2017 Scc1t2.sf2, since apparently most MIDIs are composed for either the SC-55 or Microsoft's midi synth which uses SC-55 samples. The main exceptions are when I know what card certain music is made for (Eternal Doom is better with either 1mbgm.sf2 or Weedsgm3, the former based off the AWE32 synth which much of the Eternal Doom soundtrack is composed for, and the other was made by one of the Eternal Doom devs and is given official recommendation) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
