Spent a few hours drawing the Icon of Sin today. It was my first time drawing it, and also my first time drawing anything from Doom apart from map layouts, but I think it turned out alright.

This is the "snippet" of the main cover art of my first graphic novel "Time & Again" that, I believe, will finally get its long-awaited public release this March! Very soon!

So excited!!! I've been working on it so hard for the last few years, I'm so curious to see what everybody says about my crazy story and these... weirdos on the picture.

 

And also, to make all of ya doomers around here truly delighted:

That's a part of a very fun frame from action-packed Chapter 2.

It's gonna have quite a few Doom references in it. Precisely so far there are 4 (in first 3 chapters) - some are textual only, some are visual, like the one above. And I had a lot of fun and a good portion of laughs while drawing it! And I plan to add even more Doom references in the future chapters. I just can't go without Doom anyway, it's in my nature *shrugs*.

I recently downloaded a paiting program in Krita and made this sketch to test and practice with it.

Really a good program, even if don't have a graphic tablet (yup, this was made only with mouse), the tools can be edited to work perfectly without one. Also, open source, free, and has animation tools. :P

Pics taken with my phone can easily get doodoo, and coloring with markers is a pain. Here's a thingy with a character of mine in a blocky-looking marine outfit.

Drawn whilst out and about at a local geek café, with no reference to hand. The sketchbook I'm using has these blue pages in the middle where I'm at right now (sandwiched between the normal white outer pages with some grey-paper ones, it's interesting) so liberal use of fluorescent gel pens has been a staple of my sketching for the time being.

I like pinks.

Love the very bold outlines, the detail marks are good too.  I can smell the marker fumes from here :D

The style of these somehow remind me of Greg Capullo's work in Spawn comics in late 90's / early 00's. Well done!
