niguel Posted August 17, 2002 I drew a picture, and I'd like to show it here, but I don't have a scanner so I took a shot of it with my webcam (pretty bad quality, yes) and I need to get the image larger. Is there any way to do this with some program? Thanks. Oh... it's JPEG format. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Naked Snake Posted August 17, 2002 JPEG is horrible for larger pictures, use .png format. I have pictures of fullscreen IE windows that are the size of my desktop resolution 1280x1024 that were like 2 mb as .bmps and then I coverted them to .png and they became like 225k with no quality loss that I could see. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Fredrik Posted August 17, 2002 JPEG is horrible for larger pictures, use .png formatNo. JPEG IS good for large pictures (and only for large pictures). For stuff like scans, JPEG is usually even the best (if it's a grayscale image, PNG can get it down to a good size, but otherwise, no). 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
CyRaptor Posted August 18, 2002 Resizing a small picture isn't gonna make it look better anyway. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
