What's the best tools for editing WADs?

I already have editing tools, but they are for a 90s mac. What's the best modern tools for editing sprites, sound, text, etc...?

I usually use SLumpEd for things like adding sounds, sprites, textures, etc. to pk3 files. However, Slade is another good one that I've used sometimes, which does basically the same thing and it continues where SLumpEd left off after being discontinued from development.
