Doom 64 Absolution (TC) Error 424

TDRR

Question

Yes, again with Doom 64 TC.

So Doom 64 TC has this cfg file that requires it to be loaded into Doom Builder 1, once that it is loaded, everything should work fine, now, when i create a map or load an existing one from the TC's maps, i get "Error 424 while creating/loading map: Object required" this happens just after the "Loading textures" part finishes loading.

I tried with DeePsea's opt file, but i get "Line with invalid property 8878" and then it spews more errors with different numbers.

Any help (Except "use D64 EX!") is appreciated.

No, it doesn't, i get a LOT of errors, similar to what happens with DeePsea, i'm thinking that the only solution is to make one myself, but i have no experience on this end, so most likely it will end up worse.

Once again, any help (Except "use D64 EX!") is appreciated.

Nevermind, got it working, to get it working, i just opened the editor, set the config to JDoom, built some crap and then i sent it straight to Doom 64 TC, here is the result.

Stuff like XG Scripting and Colored Lighting are surely going to be a pain in the ass.

I'm curious, why do you choose to use the Absolution TC as a basis for your map(s), versus the other options out there?

Runs better on older hardware than Doom 64 EX, requires less RAM, Does not need WadGen, can be coupled with FreeDoom, has XG scripting (which is as easy as DECORATE), i'm familiarized with it, nostalgia, you can place monsters from Doom 2 if you wanted to, you can put your name when the map starts, super easy to work with, supports netplay, and perhaps many other reasons i have yet to discover.
I know there is Retribution, BD64, Doom 64 EX and others, but those require much more ram than what Absolution required, and can't run with DirectX (running with OpenGL causes crashes with my crappy iGPU in most cases) and can run in a Pentium 4 2.0GHz machine full stock (Maybe even with a Voodoo 3+).

And i'm planning to port it to other platforms, being realistic, this will take a really long time, effort and a lot of patience (But on the end, it could run on Pandora leaps and bounds faster than what Doom 64 EX does).

Forgot to quote you on my last post, just so you get the notification.
