Kes Gaming YT Posted December 9, 2021 After finishing Maximum Doom, I took a little break, and decided to do something fun, so I started on Doom the Golden Souls, and then started playing the new remaster of Grand Theft Auto 3. Now, I'm almost done with that, getting back into Golden Souls again, and about to begin Final Doom. ;) 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

kawadec Posted December 13, 2021 Been getting back on my gacha nonsense again by going through more of Fate/Grand Order's story. Finished the Agartha chapter --- wasn't a big fan of the writing, though I did finally warm up a little to Scheherazade by the very end, and the stall team I've been putting together really paid off a few times, so fun was had. Feels nice now having three developed strats to try given the situation (stall team focused on survival, buff-stacking zerker team designed to take out bosses as quickly as possible, and a buster-crit team with survivability in between the two). Moved on to Shimousa, which I hear really kicks people's butts and requires you to have a balanced roster to make it through the bosses (no borrowing a friend's servant to fill the gaps), so time to see where my weaknesses lie I guess, heh. Worse comes to worst, there's an event starting tomorrow I can farm a shitload of materials from to get a necessary person up to snuff. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
[McD] James Posted December 14, 2021 (edited) I've finished Dawn of Sorrow, so now all there is to do is grind out all of the souls for 100% completion sake, which I'm guessing will take about 10 hours. Edited December 15, 2021 by [McD]James 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
vyruss Posted December 14, 2021 Just finished Demon's Souls remake. NG+ is way harder compared to later entries. Went back to Dark Souls 3 after finishing Demon's Souls. Felt like I was running at about half a million miles an hour and got slapped around by Gundyr because Demon's Souls is slow, even compared to Dark Souls 1. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
BrassKnight Posted December 15, 2021 I played more Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, I forgot I had this game on. I finally reached Remilia with continues, I switched over to Marisa B for this playthrough because I was tired of Reimu A's weak damage output. I haven't finished the game yet because I died to Remi's 1st spell card, those blue bullets just happened to spawn right where I was standing so that sucks. I don't know if it's just me but Remilia looks like she's throwing some gang signs: 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
LaughingSnowman Posted December 16, 2021 Tomb Raider 1 on the PS1. I am currently without a memory card and I keep dying and having to start over from the start. I've rage quit at least 5x today. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

kalaeth Posted December 29, 2021 I mostly play doom, but just got my older copy pf Quake 3 installed (and the True Combat mod) to kill some bots. Besides that, Trackmania Nations Forever, I like the short tracks and the small frustration of "I'm sure I can shave 2 seconds of this time if I just do this one left turn better!" 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

That's exactly what happened to every kid in the 90s when they got the PS1, didn't get the memory card, and were somehow unable to convince their parents to go back to the game store to get one. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Yandere_Doomer Posted December 30, 2021 Ive been playing a bit of Sea of Thieves Lately. I finally reached Pirate Legend, which is about time, since i have been playing the game ever since it was released, although very infrequently. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

hybridial Posted December 30, 2021 I finished Shin Megami Tensei V on boxing day. I enjoyed it a lot, I think the world design and exploration was really well done, really something else in a lot of ways. With so many open world games you get these days, rarely do they have an artistic feeling like a 3D SMT game does. The end game balance was a bit off and too easy if you max levelled a strong party (which I went with Lilith, Gabriel, and Mother Harlot), and I'd still say I liked Nocturne overall more, but, it was worth the hype for me. I also have been playing Diablo 3 on my Switch which is alright as a time killer. I should get on Metroid Dread soon. But what I'm focused on right now is The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk, which I really like quite a bit. It is on the Switch but the port is apparently not great. Not too surprising, even the PC version is a bit jank and I've had crashes here or there. If you like D&D combat it's maybe the best videogame take on it ever. It's definitely not much of a story game, it's all comedy which is hit or miss, but I would recommend this to anyone who wants a quality deep S-RPG with the D&D theme. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
snapshot Posted December 31, 2021 (edited) condemned 2 bloodshot, took some fiddling around with settings to get saving to work properly and apu emulation isn't fully done yet for this game, wish i could try the multiplayer, a pc remaster would be terrific for this. come on nightdive studio where u at lol warframe to see what the new war is about, only to find out it requires a necramech to start lol, might just sell a bunch of rivens and prime parts and skip the grind. destiny 2 to try forsaken before it gets vaulted, so short and is basically just go here and kill this boss like 9 times, with the occasional loot quest thrown in, at least it gave me a reason to finally check those lost sectors, and it had a bunch of levels i've never played before. new world, level 12 marauder and still going. Jello Posted January 2, 2022 I'm trying to finally finish Black Mesa. Hell, I've been trying to do that for over a decade at this point. I finally decided I was just going to wait to finish it until Xen was released, and every time I go back it seems like they've released an update that breaks my old save game. I don't really want to just load the chapter that I was on, and lose everything I had. Maybe the default is more than what I had, or less. But I kept restarting the game, because I want the full experience. Last night, I tried to load up my save near the end of Lambda Core, wouldn't load. So I figured fuck it, I'll just restart Lambda Core. So I got through that, figured I might as well do it in one sitting, just in case they release an update that fucks up my save again. Played through a bit of Xen, and I have to say I'm absolutely amazed at how detailed and beautiful it is. Some of the scenery, I'm amazed that it can be done in the Source engine. I was never a person that particularly "hated" Xen, I just didn't find it as enjoyable as the rest of the game. But I'm really enjoying their new, expanded vision for Xen. Really some of the scenery has just been stunning. The gameplay is the same of course, but I do like having the longjump being triggered by just pressing jump and jump again. It's more reliable than the crouching/jumping method used in the original game. I can't count how many times I fell to my death just because I didn't time the sequence quite right. And adding the HEV suits to some of the zombies was fun, takes a bit more firepower to take them down. Overall, I'm really happy with what they did with the game. I'm amazed that it got completed at all, 15 years is a long time. And if anyone who hasn't played it is interested, it's apparently 75% off right now on Steam, so 4.99. I'd say it's worth it. But some are complaining that it has some issues with Linux, can't confirm myself. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
joepallai Posted January 11, 2022 Currently playing Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus after thinking about getting into the tabletop game again. It's a very good to excellent Warhammer game and is helping me save my wallet from being empty by building another army I have no business running. (I'm a love strategy/war games but suck at them kind of player). 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

hybridial Posted January 11, 2022 So after a while of playing Diablo 3 I started to question what I'm doing with my life and I felt a great degree of relief to get it out of my hands. That kind of game design is seriously not for me. I've been playing a list of stuff lately; The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk Cyber Shadow Dusk Panzer Paladin Breath of the Wild Luigi's Mansion 3 And I got Mario Kart 8 and the Ori games on the Switch yesterday. Got enough to keep me busy for a while. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
kawadec Posted January 22, 2022 Earlier this week I was in a bit of a funk, and as a way to give myself something to do that wasn't the crushing grind of Warframe (not that I could have played much of it anyway, since my internet cut out a couple hours later for the rest of the night) I returned to Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold and played that. Over the next couple days I finished what remained of that game's 60 levels, then got the sequel and beat that. Something about the simplicity of a good Wolfenstein engine game was something my brain needed at the moment, I guess. But yeah, if Wolfenstein 3D but sci-fi and with new bells and whistles added to levels sounds like your Jam (get it, because the developer was called Jam) I give both a solid recommendation. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

This week I finished God of War (2018), My Memory of Us, and Mega Man X4. So, until Elden Ring comes out, I have a couple weeks to free up my rotation, which will now be: Sifu Borderlands 3: Bounty of Blood Shadow Warrior (2013) The Unfinished Swan The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles Mega Man X5 Diablo II: Resurrected Heroes of the Storm Infernax (releasing 2/14, thanks Game Pass!) King of Fighters XV (releasing 2/17) I may also mix in Sol Cresta, which releases 2/22, but will likely hold off on it til later this year. Man, 2022 is stacked and I'm just trying to catch up on my old backlog. :( 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Sokoro Posted February 11, 2022 I just finished Gothic 3 and now I play custom maps for Unreal, while also trying new end game in Path of Exile. Soon I want to try some old star trek fps games: klingon honor guard, ds9 game (forgot the name) and elite force 1+2. Also Gothic 2 got some new unofficial expansion: chronicles of myrtana Archolos. Looking forward to be water mage again. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Beware, it hardbinds functions to WASD making it impossible to use it for movement, I'd recommend the SDL version which is "up to date" using Planet Strike code, it also makes it so playing on the highest difficulty isn't a bad joke (unlike Wolf3D the highest difficulties don't just increase enemy variety they turn them into damage sponges). 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
CherryPoptartzzz Posted February 11, 2022 Over the past week i've gotten addicted to terraria, I played minecraft a ton on my 360 back in the day so I never really payed attention to terraria, but a friend gifted me terraria on steam a while back and I grew to like it a lot, actually I think I prefer it over minecraft. I loved it as a kid but playing it nowadays it just feels super slow and boring, and I can't say I care for the newer updates all that much, I just feel so much more engaged playing terraria and exploring 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Very good point, I should definitely mention that, rather than playing the DOS version, I was running it through the BStone source port for WASD controls and the such. Apparently it was originally made for Planet Strike, but works well enough with Aliens of Gold as well, aside from a few minor audio things such as the weapon jingles not playing. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
