Somniac Posted June 19, 2022 Hands of Necromancy demo. Quite good. Not a huge fan of the sprite work, but the music and level design are nice and the weapons are fun - you can toss guys around with a tornado. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Avoozl Posted June 19, 2022 (edited) Just playing GTA San Andreas for the first time in ages and I'm really enjoying it again, I've always loved the unrealistic coloured skies during certain times of the day such as the purple late sunsets in the desert locations and dark cyan colour during foggy evenings in San Fierro for a few examples. Azuris Posted June 20, 2022 Trespasser, "What Happen" had it as a Topic and since the Disc is sitting there for over 20 Years waiting to get a whole playthrought and i preloaded the CE Fan Patch last year, i just started to play it. Never got much into the Game as a Kid, i think the Control Scheme is partly to blame for. I changed shoot to the right Mouse Button, grap to E and made Movement fully to WSAD, also C to duck. Now it feels much easier to control. I have much more Enjoyment with the Game that i should. The Dinosaurs where they forgot to deactivate the Behaviours show how interesting it could have been, sniffing around you, being friendly. It is very sad that the Game was rushed. I remember reading a three or four Pages long Article in a Magazine back then and how impressed i was in what they wanted to accomplish. A open World with Dinosaurs living in it, having Needs, roaming around. A Dream for a Nintees Kid. Will play some Map Packs and Mods afterwards. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Right now I have a really effective deck in black, that has a lot of instants that destroy creatures, and exile them. I also have the Toxrill, the corrosive slug that brings each creature down by -1/-1 each turn. As well as four Westgate Regent Vampires, that multiple in damage each time they hit the player. Basically, I keep the opponent at bay by eliminating their creatures before they even leave summoning sickness, and I bide my time to bring out the big guns. It has proven pretty effective, but some people have decks that really blow it out of the water. I also made a modified version of it that has a lot of spells that force the player to discard, or allows me to choose which card to discard. It is really annoy I am sure to be on the receiving end of because I get rage quits from time to time, right out the box. Edited June 21, 2022 by Kontra Kommando 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Kontra Kommando Posted June 21, 2022 (edited) I'm currently trying to horde gold coins from playing standard 1 vs 1, to get to 90,000 so I can get 90 booster packs the next time the a new set comes out. I believe they are going to re-make a classic deck from the early magic days in the later part of the year. That will be the one I will save my coins for. By then I could have a lot more than 90,000 perhaps. Edited June 21, 2022 by Kontra Kommando 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

I only play the physical game very casually, but my library is a mono black planeswalker deck that I heavily modified. It mainly consists of smaller creatures that have deathtouch , and spells that allow me to gain life and slowly make my opponent lose life. I do have some stronger creatures, though. One of my favourite spells is Murder, a card ( as the name suggests) destroys creatures and costs three mana. It's nice that I'm not the only MTG fan on the forums. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Kokoro Hane Posted June 21, 2022 Currently, checking out a bunch of really old Ren'Py games from way before even I started using the program. Playing these older VNs is really something else, it just has this vibe that is so different from modern Ren'Py games coming out these days. I love the more amatuerish style and the stories and it just felt incredibly indie and just... it's hard to explain, they are all really good and definitely felt like visual novels. It makes me nostalgic for the early days I began dev'ing with the engine and some of the fond memories I had playing a bunch of already released games or looking forward to new ones. I feel like some of the stuff from the past will never be tried again now, so it's quite a treasure trove. Not to say there isn't still great release now, there is still quite a bit, but I guess I just have really odd tastes and can be incredibly picky lol. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Wyrmwood Posted June 22, 2022 Currently replaying Dawn of War 2, played it when it came out and was still a little upset that it was nothing like the first game. Actually enjoying it more this time now I know it more an ARPG than RTS and I can set the graphics to ultra and still get no slow down. Also playing Postal: Braindamaged, which is way better than it has any rights to be, pretty much Quake with fart jokes. Oh and a little Star Wars Pinball on my Switch and Heretic on delta touch. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

pilottobombadier Posted June 25, 2022 (edited) Started Empyrion on PC (holy learning curve, Batman!), but otherwise seemingly trapped in another Skyrim playthrough on PS4. Also started Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (really enjoying it), and the new TMNT game, which my wife will not let me play unless I play with her (I did get it for us, and I think she really likes it, and it is really good) Edited June 27, 2022 by pilottobombadier Apparently I can't spell Empyrion for shit, with it being right in front of me. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Wyrmwood Posted June 30, 2022 Return to Castle Wolfenstein, using the amazing REALRtcw mod on steam. They re-mastered the whole game, added workshop, add-on menu and achievements. Every bit as good a job as I would have expected from Nightdive. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Shanoa Posted July 15, 2022 As is the case every once in a while, I get a need to play some musou games. So currently I'm just playing Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends. Musou games are always fun to scratch that itch where you want something simple that also gives quick burst of fun. Also playing some Ion Fury on the side. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

After being introduced to the series only a couple of years ago, I ran through so many Dynasties and Samurais in succession that they all kind of blend together. But 8 is the one with the absolutely ridiculous weapon-switching gimmick, right? Because that was my fave. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Yeah at most from 2 to 8 you'll just see the increase in roster, some extra mechanics (such as EX attacks) and stages revamp from one installment to the next. The ultimate musou experience comes in the form of the Warrior Orochi games, as it combine Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors roster into one game + Orochi's specific characters (guest characters in some cases too). KOEI finally ported Orochi 3 to PC a few days ago and it's considered the best Orochi game, worth checking out if you have money to spare (Orochi 4 Ultimate is also solid) And yeah, Dynasty Warriors 8/Xtreme 8 is the weapon switching one, it's also my personal favorite mainline entry. Every characters get a unique weapon (compared to 7) and story mode includes "what ifs" stages when you fulfill some objectives. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
TwinBeast Posted July 15, 2022 Resident Evil 4. Feels exciting. Also gave me some Blood vibes in the castle with the cultists. A few moments later blasted Salazar with the shotgun and then with the magnum. Filled with guns and ammo. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
