TJG1289 Posted November 11, 2023 I played through Borderlands 3 recently and enjoyed that, so I went and bought Tiny Tina's Wonderlands on Steam yesterday since it was 75% off. Not too far into it, but I'm liking how it's the same gameplay as BL3 for the most part. The addition of spells instead of grenades is a great change, as they have a lot of fun types and uses as opposed to normal explosive grenades. I also really like the change of scenery. The fantasy setting is a nice change of pace for the series. I heard this game isn't too long, and that the DLCs aren't worth the normal price (I did buy the version with the season pass, but even that was 75% off so it was worth it), so I'm hoping it won't take me too long. Also, this is the first modern FPS I've played on a PC, so I'm getting used to having to hit way more buttons than just "fire", "use", and "jump". I keep hitting the wrong buttons when trying to melee or use my action skill. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
MrFroz Posted November 18, 2023 Playing Silent Hill: Shattered Memories on PCSX2. My second playthrough, I'm taking as many different choices as I can from what I remember of the first time I played around. Having reached the Balkan club, I can't help but notice the quality of the music: 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Daytime Waitress Posted November 19, 2023 Yamaoka doesn't miss, my man. As for me: traditional hard drive shit itself, so I'm reinstalling Assetto Corsa on the remaining solid state drive and have to actually make choices on what tracks and cars to add to the folder. Having a surprising amount of fun throwing the vanilla Alfa Romeo GTA's around the latest Crystal Palace Circuit mod, but I figure I'll be upgrading to the versions found in Bazza's AC Legends set pretty soon. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

TJG1289 Posted November 25, 2023 I'm on a Borderlands kick now. I just bought the Pandora's Box Collection on Steam, even though I already own all the games on console. But hey, it cost less than $60 for Borderlands 1-3, the Pre-Sequel, both Tales games (I did already have the first Tales one thanks to a Humble Bundle, so that was like $15 saved), and aaaaalllllllll of the DLC for everything (it was like almost 90 items). Probably going to go back to the original after I finish playing through Headless Chicken, but I really need to get back to working on my map for the Embryo community project... 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
MrFroz Posted November 26, 2023 Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Previously I had played it on PCSX2, but now I'm giving the Wii version a go and in spite of Dolphin's emulation not being quite accurate at times, I feel like it's overall a better experience. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
BGreener Posted November 26, 2023 I've been having some decent fun with Mechwarrior 5 the last several weeks. A few days ago I decided to try the add-on called Yet Another Mech Lab (YAML) as well as YAML Weapons. It kind of reminds of when I played Starsector for a bit before I tried it with Nexerlin: "This was fun unmodded and now I am now hooked, see you all in a few months". I basically binged it the past few days when I could. One problem I have is being too addicted to my lovely Centurion chassis and seeing what I can plug into it. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Misty Posted December 2, 2023 Playing Half-Life, enjoying so far. The most of aliens look so friend shaped, especially those pug looking ones, would pat if I could. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Mr Masker Posted December 2, 2023 Playing Dark Souls: Remastered, fun game so far. Tried to play it before, but I stopped playing for a year, so I'm restarting. Got frustrated when I lost 10k souls because of some stupid basic enemy guys, but it is what it is. When I'm doing good at the game, I give it a 7 out of 6. Also playing Shovel Knight again, excellent game, love it loads. Unfortunate that it's like £30 now, that's fuckin too much man, I don't care what anyone says. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Rudolph Posted December 2, 2023 (edited) Finally finished Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon. That was a long one, but overall an excellent remake. It is just a shame that Shining Force II never got the same treatment. Edited December 2, 2023 by Rudolph 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
P_A_Z Posted December 3, 2023 I am on my third run of a Plague Tale: Innocence. This game is amazing, clearly too much better than the next opus : A plague Tale: Requiem. The game takes place in the Kingdom of France in 1348, between the reign of fear of the Inquisition, and the rat plague with a solid background mix up with historical realism and also fantastic elements. I enjoy playing and replaying this game because he is truly contemplative and immersive, with good gameplay which combine differents approches to progress : action, infiltration, puzzles to solve and great moments of adventures and others joyfulness, included survival horror aspects. There is a system of upgrades well done to improve abilities of the heroïne called Amicia, a noblewoman came from the aristocracy. Her only weapon is a sling who uses differents projectiles, we collect stuff to craft them to have many options to solve a problem. We can choose to use this possibilities, or simply play stealth in a Thief way in situations to avoid the inquisition soldiers for example. I advise this game which is a great TPS game with a good lifespan, solid story, and amazing visuals and graphics. If you like TPS with a good scenario and interesting gameplay, you can buy it and go for 8 dollars on Steam. IMO, this is a must play. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
scorpion Posted December 3, 2023 Mortal Kombat II Remix, a MUGEN project but surprisingly accurate MK2 gameplay and fair AI unlike pretty much anything else MUGEN. Also Robocop: Rogue City, but to a lesser extent. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Panzermann11 Posted December 3, 2023 (edited) Saints Row: The Third: Remastered. The game is like Grand Theft Auto, but frosted with Postal 2 and Yakuza's craziness. Lovin' it so far. Edited December 3, 2023 by Panzermann11 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

The gameplay is the more of the same with very little new things, the scenario and the end of the game are disapointing, the background not very coherent. I can say that A Plague Tale: Requiem is average but not bad. The best way is to judge by ourselves. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
kinker31 Posted December 5, 2023 Bloons Tower Defense 6! Tried to go for a 2TC run with Sauda and a Permaspike tower (on Cubism, since that's the best map to try this out on according to research), got to Round 98 before the last tiny bit of MOABs and Ceramics ate up the last of my Permaspike stockpile. Damn shame too, was gonna get the Gigapop, 2TC, and Josh's Constant achieves in a single go too. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
hybridial Posted December 5, 2023 I just finished a full run of Mass Effect Legendary Edition. ME3 felt like a whole different beast compared to the time I originally played it; which was without an imported save. That was because I did ME1 and ME2 on the 360 but ME3 on PC, my 360 broke before then. Now with everything as it should be and all the DLC (ME3 definitely had the best DLC by far of the series), this was an amazing experience, maybe the peak of videogames for me. I love the setting, the characters are brilliant, there is a lot of great, snappy dialogue, the cast is loveable, and the gameplay is pretty solid. Little ropey in 1 but by 3 it's slick and exciting. The ending is what it is but even back then I wasn't particularly bothered by the three colours and I'm not now. I would call the endings as they are a formality. Everything that matters in these games happens before the ending. And having done that I'm currently working on replaying Hedon Bloodrite and playing Ion Fury: Aftershock. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lila Feuer Posted December 6, 2023 Since it's been two years since my first and last playthrough attempt I restarted Dark Souls Remastered but stuck with the same starting class of Knight. Cleared out the skeletons near the beginning of Firelink Shrine and collected all the items while cashing out on some decent souls for character leveling. A major improvement of my skill I'd say since the last time as I avoided the graveyard like the plague for a long time. The hidden Morning Star nearby really trivializes the skeletons by knocking them down with a blow each time and stunning the larger ones. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

smeghammer Posted December 7, 2023 I don't get a lot of time to play nowadays, but I do enjoy a bit of Arcane Dimensions action - I think this level set and the Xmas Jam map packs are superb. I just love the atmosphere and general aesthetic of it. The dark edginess of Quake turned up to 11... 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Dasha W. Frost Posted December 7, 2023 Just returned back to Code Vein in order to attempt the second playthrough together with my husband in co-op. And with DLCs this time. I like this take on "souls-like", although something feels quite hollow about it, just like it used to be on our first run... but at least in this game you can easily co-op with your SO uninterrupted and without annoying hacker invasions, LOL. However, before the latest updates I don't remember randomly teleporting bosses and other little glitches... Oh well. At least it's not Hellpoint! (don't get me wrong: I love Hellpoint very dearly, it was just... very, very broken in certain spots). The first time we played Code Vein, I created a female character from my own *still unfinished* graphic novel - that added some extra excitement to the game, and made her into a tank, which is what I always do in majority of the games I play. This time I'm going for an unusual build for myself: primarily a bayonet build but I switch to a fast one-handed sword every time I need to replenish my ichor. So far... it goes very well for me. Oh yeah, and I'm playing as a guy now - yet another one character from my graphic novel! One might even say, I'm role-playing, for the character is supposed to be a sniper rifle guru. I also installed a few cosmetic mods off Nexus Mods, to achieve better visual similarity to my original character. All in all, I consider Code Vein to be an easier version of Dark Souls with anime looks (which might or might not be to everybody's liking; even I myself - a rapid fan of Dragon Ball - whine about it at times and demand a "No anime faces" mod for this game, LOL, but that's simply a question of personal preferences). It's a very good, solid game, if you like the genre, and the NPC's stories are interesting, although we find them a bit hard to follow/care about due to the unusual depictions/narrative... But it's art, so we appreciate it. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lila Feuer Posted December 8, 2023 Exceptional early playthrough of Dark Souls Remastered, it's amazing how different things feel when you do things like backstabbing and parrying, as well as the jumping, roll and running attacks. Estoc + heater shield = byebye to the first black knight, he was never this easy for me before, three successful parries brought him down to a splinter of life. Also the Taurus Demon finished itself off by miscalculating a jump backwards and stumbling off the side of the bridge you fight it on lol. Also got the Drake Sword from shooting its tail and now I feel dirty because it totally trivializes the Undead Parish. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

It can be “noobtrappy” as it was in my initial playthrough because it can’t be weapon buffed, the material to upgrade it is hard to come across, and like other dragon weapon in Dank Swoles 1 it scales off of zero stats. Still my first baby and carried me for a long time. What class were you starting with, by the way? Edited December 8, 2023 by BGreener 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lila Feuer Posted December 8, 2023 @BGreener Yeah it's a weapon not worth upgrading from what I gather but it helps save crafting materials for better weapons due to requiring dragon scales (which are better used elsewhere.) Should help against the Bell Gargoyles which I had sunbro help me out with last time and I'm gonna avoid using summons now unless I run into real trouble. Unsure atm if I want to upgrade my Broadsword or the Estoc or both, it's good to have a weapon that hits multiple enemies but also one that works well in tight corridors and works behind a shield, plus that reach. I want to use the Zweihander I got early eventually though, which was a favorite of mine until I got the Black Knight Greatsword in my first old playthrough which was my main as an ultra greatsword user. I went with the Knight again, because I like the 100% physical damage resistant starting shield and powerful weapon (even though you can buy the Heater Shield very early which I've switched to since I like to parry and it too has 100% physical damage resistance.) They do start out fat rolling due to the armor but I took off the helmet and gloves and pumped some points into endurance in order to normal roll. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Mr Masker Posted December 8, 2023 (edited) Oh wow, I've been playing Dark Souls Remastered too! I picked the Knight as well. I've still not beaten DS 1 yet, so I'm not completely sure on all the tricks and tips. I'm currently getting destroyed by the Gargoyles with my Longsword, I'll get there eventually... maybe. The furthest I got to last time was just after beating the Spider Lady boss, so until that point, I should know what to expect. Wish me luck! :) Edited December 8, 2023 by Mr Masker 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lila Feuer Posted December 8, 2023 (edited) @Mr Masker Yeah last time I rang both bells of awakening which was Undead Burg/Parish and the Depths/Blighttown, did Sen's Fortress and made it to Anor Londo but didn't fight the boss(es). Made OK progress in Darkroot but didn't kill the hydra. Didn't venture into Tomb of the Giants from the Catacombs, which for me was the hardest area in the game, or get very far in New Londo Ruins due to being lost. I'm guesstimating I saw a little over 50% of the game so I'm prepared. And some optional locations like Valley of the Drakes.
