Plus, since it works with DeHackEd files - theoretically it could work with demo recording! You could make speedruns with specific DeHackEd files! Tho, for that to work - you would have to implement a seed feature.

Sergent Mark has done Some incredible mods but vietdoom is his greatest mod yet and it is quite simply the coolest mod I have ever seen. Period.

Crusher Doom! All the maps are full of crushers... so much so that you have to lure demons into them because all you have is a pistol.

LOL... true... but the tech is incredible and can be used for other stuff.. I already have a working space marine predator tank as a 3D model, powered by the code that powers sergeant marks vietnam tanks, and I have obtained his permission to release a mod that uses that code. I also have an Ork flyer, an imperial guard aircraft and a Rhino.

 

I am working on bringing other predator tank variations to GZDoom and will eventually release a pack with a bunch of 3D 40k vehicles that can be used as player controlled vehicles, friendly vehicles and enemy vehicles.

 

In my other 40k mod that has dreadnoughts, terminators etc etc... the dark angels are a traitor faction allied with chaos so enemy tanks will likely be chaos predators and dark angel predators (all doom monsters are replaced at this point but the mod is stilll not completely ready for primetime - I am for example using chaos and dark angels space marine librarians as archviles)

 

I plan on eventually bringing it all together in an upcoming GZDoom megawad called After Dawn that is based on Genetech. I also obtained permission to make a project that uses Genetech assets.

Doom but the Pistol is even shittier than before. Make the fire rate even slower and the damage even weaker. Also make it the only available weapon in the game and turn your playthrough into an entire Pistol-only run.

With a twist, when you get to the Icon of Sin, a single pistol shot kills it.

Oh man, that reminded me of the Half-Life team project I was on. It was supposed to be set on Mars and then the other team members decided to make a Farm Wars mod instead, with all these animals killing one another or some shit, so I jumped ship. lol

Elderly Doom

A mod where you play an elderly Doom guy in a slow moving electronic wheelchair that you constantly have to recharge at charge stations, which takes a good minute to fully charge. All pickups are a variety of different pills that you need to constantly be popping to keep Doom guy from dropping dead. On the plus side you get to run over Demons in your ride. Said demons are also slow moving and elderly, the already hunched Imp is now almost touching his face to the ground holding his frail frame up with a walking cane, and his fireballs just kinda limply fizzle out and hit the ground before they even get to you. His melee attack is him hitting you with his cane shouting "get off my property". Cacos are grey haired grannies who wear a big monocole on their one eye and are always trying to give you a deadly grandma kiss (instead of biting). Mancubus instantly have a heart attack and die, they should have lived a healthier life style.

We also had Doom 64, but nobody talks about Doom 34: Imp Encounter's Razor-Strapped Revenge.

use original vanilla thing placement, but design a completely different map set around it. community project, anyone? ;-)
