On January 11th, 2015, Tumblr user clark-cant[2] uploaded a picture of a running Golden Retriever with a Google search bar at the top displaying the phrase "VERY fast dog running at incredible hihg speed". The original picture of the dog was first posted on a personal photo blog in March 2008.

Idiots across the internet thought it was funny that high was misspelled and ran with it, creating memes and facebook groups using "hihg speed" as a joke. Much like hecka, doggo, pupper, and smol. Because people on the internet turn into idiots who think misspelling words is funny when it's associated with animals.

Well I get it, I turn into an idiot when I'm talking to a dog, in person. I'll get down and rub their head, scratch their chest, rub their shoulders, and ask them who's a good boy/girl, who's a good pupper, are you a good pupper? Yes you are, you're the best little pupper! Are you smiley? Yes you are, you're just a smiley little pupper aren't you? Do you want your head scratched? Well yes you do, cause you're a little sweetheart that needs a head scratch!

But yeah, I'll only turn into an idiot when I'm directly interacting with a dog or cat. If I'm talking about a dog or cat to another human, I'll just say "Yeah, that's a really cute dog. He seems nice. So how is your day going?" When I'm talking to humans I'll use adult language, because I'm a human being, there's no point in using 'cute' language when talking to other humans.

It's a quality meme. As I said, you just don't get it, and explaining it would be pointless. Nobody will ever be able to explain to me the appeal of shouting "POGGERS" when something "hype" happens.
