Really cool team, I like to see that I'm not the only one who wanted to do "The Lost Levels" for real PSX Doom. But thanks to @Erick194, without him it was impossible

Thanks for being interested in this. Think I'm gonna make a new thread to talk about some things before beginning the project, besides speaking about some limitations I've found in it.

This looks really interesting! I've never been a fan of the new maps from Jaguar Doom that got into the PSX version, I'd love to play the real Hell Keep on my PSX! Hell, I'd chipmod my console just to play this thing! Another thing I'd like to see done in the PSX version is a mapset of the PC version of the maps instead of the Jaguar, although I don't know if that's possible due to the limitations of the PSX port. Anyway, this is a great idea, I really want it to see the light of day!

As far as I know PSX Doom can handle much better versions of PC maps. I mean, Jaguar maps were ported in PSX Doom due to laziness (sorry, developers of PSX Doom, I know there were serious problems with time, but...really). So...maybe later. I mean, it would be interesting to create an alternate versions of the original maps. Call it "Maximum PSX Doom", lol

I figured, I mean, someone managed to put the PC maps in the 32X version, so I guess the PSX is more than capable of handling them. In the meantime, do you happen to know if someone did a mod like that but for the TC (PC maps in PSX style)? I've been wanting to look for it, but I don't know how to phrase it to search for it.

No, no, no. I mean, the PC version of Hangar instead of the Jaguar, but with colored sectors and stuff, the PC version of Plant... etc. You get the idea? So you get the PC version of the mapset, but with the additions of the PSX version.

Ah, yeah. I've got it. I saw such mod (in beta stage) on zdoom forums. Don't remember it's name, sorry.

That's a neat idea and I like that it goes on top of whatever map you throw at it, but the effect is kind of underwhelming when doing it on the original Doom maps, particularly bright sectors that are unaffected by it. I actually found one project that might be what @DeXiaZ was talking about.

 

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have gone too far and seem to be long dead. That's a pity...

Yes, it's still happening! Don't lose your faith. We're just fixing and adjusting some things to make it more comfortable for everyone.
