SLON Posted May 18, 2020 Doom, by the way, at an early stage was considering the possibility of their own warning lights: https://www.doomworld.com/linguica/doom-textures/spr6.html This is pretty raw, but can be improved. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
SLON Posted August 15, 2020 By the way, is there any levels plan? Personally, I am firmly convinced that map 07 at 0.4 is a "Recreation and Training Center", albeit in a somewhat truncated form (a large lift upstairs, changing rooms with showers on the sides, a circular room upstairs should be a training room bordered by a running track. Like a cinema - obviously a declared church/theater. A room with something like a stage/tribune - a club). But in 0.5 it was already reworked into the "command control" we know. Does this mean that the idea was discarded, or it was planned to create another map for this - apparently we will not know. That from alpha 0.5, which will become map 10 in Doom 2 - obviously the barracks aka "enlisted quarters" (albeit poorly detailed). Another question is that the purpose of the remaining (completely empty) premises is unclear (which is aggravated by the fact that in the Bible there is no detailed description of this). Although it can be assumed that these should be other appropriate premises, such as dining rooms, rest rooms, etc. (who knows how this could have been accommodated at this later stage?). In addition, it initially contains nukage tanks/pools, so the final name of this as "<spaceships'> refueling base" may refer to that it was indeed merged with the above. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Have you checked Beta Labs? I think this may actually be a version of what you are aspiring for that you could actually play. I've not studied bible but if you google beta labs reviews, there will be ones with comparison to the originally intended levels. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

To be honest, I haven’t even fully decided which alpha map corresponds to which one in the bible. More precisely, there are several levels, the purpose of which I am still not sure about. ludicrous_peridot Posted August 20, 2020 @_Mud, I think I have posted bs above, sorry about that. I was referring to the onemandoom review this thread already links to, but after seeing your question I've had another look and it doesn't seem to have any of that. Must have been reading a bit too many wiki pages at the same time... 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
SLON Posted August 26, 2020 Doomwiki has clear description Plus E3M7 as ex-E2M1, of course. And full episode 2 scheme. The doom bible you all know is actually just an early version of it. The full illustrated version has never been published openly. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
_Mud Posted January 10, 2021 Few little things: Added some animated textures. Changed the sprites of some weapons. 10 Quote Share this post Link to post
taufan99 Posted January 10, 2021 Glad to see this still go on, despite what little log update there is. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Altered Posted November 16, 2023 I just played through the first level of this and love how big it is, hopefully this comes back soon with another update (or maybe I'm looking in the wrong place for updates on this, I'm not the best at figuring things out) 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
