Enemies do tons of damage and my ammo is ridiculously tight. Expand Yeah I don't recommend playing on 4th difficulty for the first/blind playthrough as you need to know atleast some of the secrets to do well in later stages. I recommend 3rd difficulty for the first playthrough. On 2/27/2020 at 7:29 AM, amackert said: Might switch it down to the third difficulty and start over. Expand The good thing is that you don't need to start over from the beginning of the game. Each chapter is perfectly beatable with pistol-start. So you only need to start from the beginning of the chapter you are currently at. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
seed Posted February 27, 2020 (edited) And also, isn't warping a possibility just like in the other Build games? Edited February 27, 2020 by seed 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

However, here it is not even necessary as we can just select each chapter/zone from the menu once they have been unlocked. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gokuma Posted February 27, 2020 I got a blue keycard with my big box edition. Anyone get a different color? The Founders edition gets all three keycards. As far as the actual USB with the game, I think the Founder's seeming to be a floppy disk is funnier while the regular edition being a bomb you pull the pin out (the actual USB) is cooler. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

When writing that last post I thought there were five like in Doom, but I fired it up again, started a new game and there were only four. Whoops. Even on Difficulty 3 it seems like you have to know where all the secrets are to not run out of ammo. Might lower it down to 2 as to not feel the need to save scum my way through it. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Expand On skill 3 (Ultra Viscera), you don't really need to know the secrets to survive. But if you don't know any of the secrets, then you need to make pretty much every shot count and use right weapons for the right enemies. Play on skill 2 if skill 3 is too hard. I can give some tips on how to deal with enemies: - Ion Fury has headshot damage multiplier so aim for the head if you are not doing so already. - Centipede enemies are best dealt with using explosive weapons. If an explosive weapon is not available, then aim at the front/head segment. Firing at the middle segment will split the enemy into 2 and cause more problem. - The secondary fire of the Ion Bow can be overcharged to fire 15 extremely damaging bursts. These burst are more ammo efficient than regular shots, but since 15 of these are fired at a time so don't use this against regular enemies. Use this mode against big ememies like brutalizer mechs and boss mechs etc. - The spider ememies and the flying skulldrones are best dealt with the penetrator/SMG. 2 to 4 shots are enough to kill each. To save ammo, you can use a single SMG (non-dual mode) to prevent overkill. - The secondary fire of the clusterpucks deal more damage than primary. Just make sure to maintain enough distance when you do so. - The flameboi enemies can be comfortably dealt with using the chaingun. It can stunlock them. And yeah, on Difficulty 3 I kept running out of ammo. I cranked it down to Difficulty 2 and it plays more like Doom on Ultra Violence. Very comfy but I still have to be on my game. Quite fun and I ended up blowing past the levels I was stuck at on Difficulty 3. I did figure out the headshot thing and that has helped a lot. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Devalaous Posted March 27, 2021 Hopefully they will fix the broken controller support with this update, instead of being a typical company and leaving things broken because money. The thing I hate so much about paid products versus labour of love mods. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
