Shotgun shells and bullet's.

If anyone has played brutal doom you probably know the there's shells and bullet casings that eject from the weapon and I was wondering if there was a way I could do that unless it's just in brutal doom?

Complex Doom has that too so It can probably be done by coding somehow

There's a plethora of other mods that do that, brutal doom isn't the first one to do that

Back in the year 2000, the covert ops demo was released for edge 1.24, with ejecting shell casings. If memory serves me correctly (which it might not) that was the first time actual "ejecting" brass was seen.

 

Also if your willing to lose the plasma rifle and the BFG, then you could have ejected shells/casings left on the floor after firing, editing the sprites would finish the effect to a degree as well. Using dehacked this could in theory be possible with vanilla and I've tried it myself with boom/bex and it is possible.

@DoodGuy I'm new to doom and doombuilder so I only know of brutal doom having ejecting shells and casings.

There's this wad on realm667, though I haven't looked at the wad myself so I'm not sure if this is just the actor definitions for the casings, or if it actually implements them on weapons/enemies
