Doom 3 Touchpad problem

I just recently bought a new HP laptop and using touchpad instead of mouse.
My problem is that while being in-game on D3 I can not look left or right while walking/running forward and I can not shoot when walking/running either.
Touchpad movement and the touchpad action keys dont work at the same time.. This must be a software setting somewhere, maybe regedit?
Any help would be great thanks

That does sound a tad odd , though it may just be a case that the game was not designed or optimised to be used with a touch pad.

Though if you're going in to the registry make sure you back up your files etc... first. The registry can be an unforgiving place.

Thanks. Yeah, I might just try playing it with a mouse. Never had this problem on my past laptops.
