Description: |
This level has some of the feel of the original levels by ID software. It is a bit tougher than the first episode levels, but not as tough as the second and third. Lots of smaller monsters instead of a few of the big guys. |

| It's okay. It's extremely short if you know what to do (and strafe50 to the exit), but the traps were neat and the difficulty was just right. 3/5 | x | |

| This is dated June 1994. It has a likeable, creative design with an E1 feel. There are a couple of clever traps, including one near the beginning; not much health, good balance of weapons and monsters. Very linear design, although it moves quickly. Dull ending whereby you have to raise a bridge, which involves fighting imps in a featureless dungeon. Overall very good for period; could have been e.g. bonus level for one of the commercial console versions. | x | |

| A very nice, small, E2-styled map, fantastic for its age. Reminiscent of the original maps, this is kind of easy, but there are many shotgunners, and it takes a while to get any armour, so you can't be too careless. The architecture is basic but functional. Two fine secrets, some nice traps, and good progression (except for one stupid thing close to the end, which I'll overlook). Recommended. --4/5 | x |
