Author: Dave Patrick
Description: This is an attempt to recreate the building where I work as a WAD file - some liberties have been taken with the layout, but it's basically correct. If you came to visit you'd recognise it.

This also replaces the first attempt at uploading this wad (originally called ofisblok) which somehow got corrupted on transfer.
Credits: Brendan Wyber and Raphael Quinet for DEU. Colin Reed for bsp. id Software for destroying my social life and forcing me to buy a PC.
Base: New level from scratch, about 20 hours work, including learning how to use DEU and finding out about memory restrictions :-(
Build time:
Editor(s) used: DEU 5.2, bsp15x to tidy up the HOM
Bugs: Not a bug as such, BUT you'd better not try this on DOOM 1.2 - the HOM inside the offices will destroy the game completely. It runs fine on 1.9. Runs well on a DX2/66, but there are lots of two-sided linedefs which could slow it up a bit on a slower machine.

This is from May 1996. It's one of those "my workplace"-type levels that were all the rage (presumably until Quake came out, with 3D floors). It has all the pleasures and problems of this kind of level. On the one hand, there's a nice sense of exploration, but on the other hand you have to methodically clear out a bunch of basically identical rooms, and so it is with this map, although the rooms are cubicles.x
