Why this level have several non secret hidden doors that are needed to gind to finish the level ? Otherwise, it's too easy (too many items and ammo), and architecture is simplistic. 2/5. ~Naan

The CHAOSIAN - v1.1 (pwad for HERETIC v1.9)

INSTALL INFO:

THE CHAOSIAN has a few gfx and sound changes to make
before you play the level, so....

Just put these files in your HERETIC directory:

chaosian.wad
  deusf.exe
  install.bat

Then type:

install

After the install runs, type:

play

To uninstall/remove this modification, type:

restore

This will return your HERETIC game to "normal".

Level Background/Notes  : This level was inspired by
                          characters/mood of the second
                          series of Amber novels by
  (Also, see Mission      Roger Zelazny***.
   Info, below....)
                          Mandor is (or was) a
                          magician of noble blood,
                          who's bizarre mansion is
                          located somewhere in Chaos. 
                          His hobbies include gourmet
                          cooking enchantments and 
                          "sphere magic". (He uses
                          various orbs and spheres the
                          way traditional wizards
                          would use a wand or staff.)

Although quite refined and 
                          honorable, Mandor's rep-
                          utation is that of a
                          dangerously capable
                          sorceror.

His weird, labyrinthian abode
                          is said to contain countless
                          treasures in vast galleries,
                          constructed in such a way as
                          to be unfathomable by mortal
                          minds....

I tried to imagine what one
                          of Mandor's "dungeons" might
                          be like. Sorry, Mandor himself
                          does not put in an
                          appearance (This time....).
                          I'm saving him, The Logrus
                          & Ghostwheel for QUAKE.
                          (The Logrus is next.... Gotta
                          build with QUAKE to do those
                          cool Logrus fx! If you don't
                          now what I'm talking about,
                          put down that joystick and
                          READ the Amber novels!)
