Excuse me sir, would you like some Plutonia with your Plutonia ? You probably guessed it by the title, but this is Plutonia MAP01 with the Go 2 It treatment, which means new textures, increased navigability, new fights, and like 8 times the monster count. IWAD : Plutonia Complevel : 4 Tested in : CrispyDoom, but jump, crouch and freelook probably won't break anything. Music : Massacre Face, a PlungeSawification of Death Mask by yours truly. I did use D64 guns as the base for two of them and tried to keep the 64 style on the other parts I added. The BFG was a mod for Team Fortress 2 and I used the 64 muzzle flash (and gave the whole thing a purplish-blue tint for that D64 vibe). Always liked that game's aesthetics and color choices, so I often make variations of my guns for that. And now for some more extras lmao14 points -

My very first 'texture'. Frankenstein'd from some Amuscaria bits and an Astral Dreadnought that someone kindly shared. I can't remember who did it (bloody ADHD) so if anyone knows lemme know and I'll add the credit. It's palettised ready for Doom if anyone cares. Just did it for myself as I'm bored of the OG Icon and thought I should probably put myself out there. :)11 points

Do people like Doom 2's level Design?
Mr. Alexander and 9 others reacted to Xaser for a topic
@OP, if you're feeling like you're having to rush through the levels due to time constraints, you're much better off focusing on a smaller number of levels and making them as good as can be. Don't shoot for an arbitrary number; 32 maps is a crazy amount for a single person to make, even for long-time mappers.10 points -

Nothing spectacular, but I got underwater and colored lighting segments to work in Odamex [In Hexen format]! It also happened to be compatible with line horizon which was a nice surprise. This map is for my community project Cybervoid, Here is another section of the map and as well as an overview ! :D10 points -

Nugget Doom 3.1.0 (updated May 16th, '24)
oneselfSelf and 8 others reacted to Alaux for a topic
Nugget Doom 3.1.0 has been released! As you may guess, changes from Woof! 14.5.0 have been merged, with the big highlights being MIDI improvements and better support for Nuked-SC55. And here come the Nugget-specific highlights: Restored Selective Fuzz Darkening setting, courtesy of @ceski. Level Stats Format settings. New NUGHUD features, and bug fixes. Rewind improvements. Note: Woof! 14.5.0 introduced new autoload folders, including all-all, which is equivalent to Nugget's all. The latter was removed in favor of the former, so you'll have to move your autoloaded files in all (if any) to all-all. DIRECT DOWNLOADS: Windows 32-bit Standalone Windows 64-bit Standalone Linux AppImage See the GitHub release for all details. Have fun!9 points -

It's not a MIDI, it's a tracker module, like the rest of the music in NoSp3. But if that's fine with you, it's on Mod Archive here: https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=65038 (You can also just extract it from the WAD, D_AMPIE.)6 points

Hi, Orca is a very short, single map-long WAD visually influenced by rd's Eden, and otherwise inspired by the song scp2.mid. All difficulties are implemented, with UV being moderately challenging. The wad is tested with dsda-doom in mind for complevel 9 (Boom) (tested in 0.27.5), but I also tested in GZDoom 4.10.0 and Eternity 4.02.00 (Eternity however has a bug where one of the exits doesn't seem to work for some reason.. I'm still looking into it). Jumping, mouselook, crouching etc were not considered in the making of the map, so keep that in mind! All feedback is greatly appreciated! Download: here Screenshots: Credits: Special thanks to: @baja blast rd. for being the primary source of inspiration and also her amazing music (one of which was especially updated for this wad :O), @Ravendesk and @Maribo for playtesting, advice, other inspiration and encouragment, and my friend Acute Angle for music suggestions. I feel like in the past couple years it's the hot new thing to shit on Doom II's level design like it really detracts from , but while there are certainly a couple stinkers, most are far from what I'd call truly bad. They're just... fine. We've become spoiled by 3 decades of constant community content that it's become hard for some to appreciate Doom II's vanilla experience. Sure, the level design is definitely not its strong suit, but I think Doom II's expanded arsenal and bestiary more than makes up for it.4 points
