Chocolate Strife Beta 1 Released

Awesome, great to see progress in the branches of chocolate doom. I only wish the raven branch was this close.

Yeah it's been out and about for quite some time.

The sound popping is very weird. it's never the same "thing", nor is it the same sound.

Somehow I read this as "Chocolate Doom beta 1" and was confused.

I can run Strife in XP without any outside work for some reason, but I guess I should take a look and see.

tested it on my computer, fully works but got few problems on dialogue screens...

I told you this on IRC. Chocolate-strife seems to pick and choose whether to show the text or not, and F8, in such a case, will NOT work. I had to rebind "Show messages" to asterisk on my keypad to see even pickup messages. Conversation messages finally showed up when I did this.

And as I told YOU on IRC, I tested it and it worked fine for me. This must be something that only happens with customized keybindings.

or multiple installs, or one copied over another? I didn't nuke everything, I just copied over it, as I always do.

Tsk-tsk :P Anyway there must be some special condition to cause it, since I haven't seen it so far.

Hello all, This is first post here on this awesome site. First i just wanted to say what your doing here is awesome. After playing Doom 2 again on xbox i have had a real itch to play strife. This started me on a crusade to bring strife back(at least for 360) but it has looked less than promising. Then i found you guys someone with my last name for a handle and another named fraggle(childhood fav show) working on reinventing this game also blew my mind lol. Anyways sorry for rambling, i want to offer any assistance testing you might need as its what i do professionally. I just need to replace my keyboard this weekend. please let me know if theres anything i can do to assist.
