The Dark Mod updated a little while ago about some new features such as rats and the AI's amazing ability to understand the finer functionality of elevators.
They're also expecting to have a beta released within the next year.

That video clip reminds me of trying to play oblivion on its lowest quality settings heh.

The mod looks quite promising, and there's talk over at TTLG of the thing really taking off when Carmack releases the source code.
