I got accepted into this year's Google Summer of Code. In other words, I will spend the summer working on a free software project, which in this case is my existing hobby project, and Google will throw money at me in return.

What's your project, that Python math library?
Me and a friend of mine were hoping that the web framework we work on (symfony) would be accepted as a mentoring association, so we could have kept developing a project we kickstarted as a MSc thesis assignment, but they didn't get in :( -
