Didn't know acid tracks were feasible in DOOM... Until now. The music is simply awesome! As for gameplay, the levels have interesting layouts and make good use of the new monsters. The only thing I found slightly subpar were the weapons... If you could improve on these and expand the levelquest, for me it would be 5 starts worth! --rsl
This levelset more or less incorporates all the best features I am usually looking for in a megawad: balance, reasonable level size, curious and detailed architecture that does not feel overdone. One of the very best in my book! (played with my own rslfuria.zip, Operative class)

    Icebound

This has only one specific defect: it's too short. Otherwise... Wow. Just Wow. 5*

    Heretic Amplified

A lot of nice ideas and atmosphere, but gets a bit wasted because of quite bad difficulty balance (had to godmode in a number of fights) and unpolished sections (had to noclip a couple times to escape, too). IMHO, a partially-missed excellent opportunity. 3*
I had great expectations from this one. Offers a very nice assortment of themes and environments, but sometimes level design is a bit too much blocky and symmetrical. The addition of several R667 monsters and weapons _in unmodified form_ does not help either. 3*
Very high quality - the design of these levels brilliantly encompasses all default Heretic map themes in a very stylish way. 5* (played with Heretic++, very recommended too!!)

    Hordes of Chaos X

As hard as they tell you in the reviews. Level design remains nice and the introduction of DOOM monsters is a nice touch, but difficulty is really unfair. Would have worked better with a couple custom overkill weapons added to the default roster. 3*

    Unholy Realms

I enjoyed myself a lot with this one. The levels are fun and gameplay-intense without becoming impossible to beat. And the design is nice enough for a DOOM hellish setting. I would personally recommend this. 5* (note: played with my own rslquest.zip :-) )
This is how HeXen PWADs should be. A great balance between good-looking and not-overcomplicated levels, clever use of bosses and custom monsters, atmospheric locations. Honestly, I enjoyed this even more than HeXen itself... 5*

    NOVA: The Birth

A remarkable set of levels - especially in the latest part (large and continuously changing settings, with fights against large hordes). Also the music stands out as one of the few catchy and pleasing soundtracks ever encountered in a MegaWAD. 5*
This one never gets old. To me, it stands out as the canon against which any level design attempt should be compared, in every aspect: architecture, detail, gameplay, difficulty, atmosphere. Five Out Of Five. --rsl

    JENESIS

There's good variety in the design of all levels - I liked the cavern / outdoor area / hell ones most, since the so-called 'techbase' theme is getting more and more uninteresting in general for me. The peculiar design of the final (boss) levels is really appreciable, although including some hint about their solution would have been nice. Good job!

    Hellbound

The level of detail is nice but never goes overboard, the best IMHO. The design of most levels is large and encourages exploration, but sometimes the average amount of darkness and the complexity of paths you must take get a bit annoying. Overall, a good set of levels!
