Dead Space was a great game, just not a great horror game. Sorry EA, but gruesome death scenes just aren't enough to make a game scary. Speaking of which, how the hell are you supposed to be scared when you've got a gun that basically acts as a 20 foot long chainsaw that turns anything in sight into hamburger in less than a second? Honestly, I think it'd be more terrifying to be playing as a necromorph being stalked by Isaac.

      Zero gravity in some areas

Best parts of the game IMO and the closest the game ever got to being scary since enemies literally came at you from every direction.

Pretty much this. It was nice to have a bit of resource management in an action game again like in days gone by, and strategic limb dismemberment is cool, but anyone who was actually scared by this deadspace needs to harden up on some penumbra and silent hill.

I heard this game was good. Got it cheap on Steam. Got to the asteroid blasting part and haven't touched the game since. If a developer is that desperate to waste my time, I don't think I should.

got the first one for $15, played it and beat it within probably a week, and quite enjoyed it. nothing special or new, i guess, but i looked forward to coming home every night and playing dead space in the dark, alone. if the second one was as cheap as i got the first for, i'd consider getting it.
