@Biodegradable Thanks for playing Another, Bartender. I'm glad it works well enough as a speedmap, and agree that the progression is wonky. I'm also glad the new Barons are still fun!

Played the first 2 maps so far. My thoughts are as follows: 01 Intro to Forestry A fun romp. I was unsure whether I could or couldn't jump at first, so I chose not to. Then I remembered you said not to jump or crouch. I might suggest disabling jumping and crouching via Mapinfo, just to avoid confusion. As for the map, it's a fine opener, laid back in its approach to combat. The bestiary used is just right for this type of map. 02 Beware the Beast Man A huge difficulty jump! Definitely a surprise, but a welcome one. Never have Zombiemen been so threatening. This map is unapologetic in its approach to hitscanners, especially hiding them in windows all over the place. I had lots of fun, but I am guessing this map will be divisive. I'll give more reviews soon.

Name: Another, Bartender Format: GZDoom/UDMF Music: Stock Doom 2 Music Build Time: A few days Play time: Around 10 minutes Tested in: GZDoom Difficulty Settings: Yes Resources: One new monster, everything else is stock Link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/1u6xxocnz17vkbp/Rev2.wad/file This is a speedmap where I wanted to try something more vertical. It has inspirations in The Chasm and other similar maps, though this one has some devilish tricks up its sleeve. It is difficult, and may take some time to get your footing against the monsters, but is also fairly short. Hope it's fun! Also, I did not disable jumping and crouching. I don't think those break the map, but I tested without them.

Completed 5 maps so far. Your lighthearted theming and unique progression is noted. Some of your traps are funny, like the baron behind the barrels in Map 02. To note: I saw what you said about playing with mods. I'm playing with Hellrider mod just to see if there were any issues. Asides from some slowdown (especially at barrels exploding), no problems that I could see. I can't wait to play more!

I messaged Alephany beforehand waiting to see if they'd join, which they have. You're second in line in case someone drops out. -

You'll be next in the back up, as there is one person in front of you. If they or another choose to drop out, you'll get a spot. Edit: Didn't notice Taviow dropped out. That means you are officially part of the team, @Pancrasio ! Welcome aboard. -

I'll send a new Discord link. Also, you are always free to post the map in the thread if you wish. -

That's wonderful! We can always use good MIDIs :) -

A few updates: one of the secret monsters has been made available to all mappers, as enough showed interest in using it. The other decoration monster has been replaced with a new monster, too, albeit only for the secret maps. Progress on maps has been slow, but that is expected this early in development.- 186 replies

Listened to a few of these myself, specifically from the Hell's Bane folder. Great work! From what I've heard, your MIDIs have a dreamlike quality to them. -

Each is free for their interpretation, so to speak. -

I'm updating the wad's rules by adding that difficulty settings will be implemented.
