    Why do I do this to myself?

    Attempting a Sandy Petersen-esque map and I'm (probably) about halfway there. For the record, the square structure in the south-east? 1024x1024 - people have put entire MAPS into that space. D:

      Would you believe I'm enjoying the challenge? Had to fight off VPO and HOM in four maps to this episode so far, feels really good to beat the system as it were.

      I would. It's just that most of the time it was a Pyrrhic victory for me. I got tired. Maybe someday, when I actually learn to map.

      Yeah, I can imagine. If I didn't struggle with mapping, because it's nothing I do regularly, I'd certainly try things like self-imposed limitations (50 shades of graytall comes to mind), vanilla being one of those for sure. As it stands now, I am basically challenged enough by trying to create a map for the 2017 mega-project, for which I am only using vanilla textures, and that's as vanilla as I can do at this point. ;-)
