  1. @ViolentBeetle thank you, and I would appreciate it. It's been a non stop source of frustration for me. I wouldn't have tried for that style of map if I had known the struggle I'd encounter with it. Happy it was at least accepted for the extra episode, I spent far more time on Cryptic Void than Legend Of The Vile Catacombs.

Updated versions for Legend Of The Vile Catacombs and Cryptic Void LOTVC: - fake floor used for campfire - added more block player lines to prevent accessing areas sooner CV: - improved timing of certain actions during the Arch-vile blitz - changed floor textures during final encounter to better indicate safe zones - replaced one of the Archie fights in the final area with a Revenant wave I've tried implementing suggestions towards the lowering invisible platforms but it all would affect everything surrounding the platforms instead. LOTVC & CV wads
  3. I was hoping to leave the Vile arena as a locked in scenario. The return teleporter before it and the exit signage just before the player drops in was to show there is no turning back. Was also meant to be an incentive for the player to find everything before making the plunge.
  4. Just before the vile arena, when you drop from the waterfall after the Cyb dual there is a teleporter on your left marked "Return". I figured it out just as you sent it lol thank you!
  5. Excellent! At the bottom of the waterfall is a teleporter that takes you all the way back to the top (the starting cave has no secrets). Let me try one more time right now to see if I can figure it out, I've watched a tutorial on youtube and read over the comments. I'll return to you if I just simply cannot get it.   6. Apologies, I was called in to work 2 night shifts back to back. Included is a small update to Legend Of The Vile Catacombs as well as an update to Cryptic Void. The latter has some mild tweaks and texture fixes and is ready to play. I still need to work on making the lowering platforms completely transparent, the issue is with the floor flat as you can see it as it lowers. It personally doesn't bother me, it feels very Icarus: Alien Vanguard which is the main inspiration for the map if the music alone wasn't a tip off. But I've tried doing a few suggestions and I still can't get the floor flats to disappear on lowering. PID Lagoonatic Maps
  7. I will be uploading a revised version of Legend Of The Vile Catacombs later tonight. Cryptic Void I still cannot figure out how to get the transparency to work on lowering floors even after looking it up if someone could help guide me on that, I'd very much appreciate it.

  9. @Human Being hey glad you played and generally enjoyed the map! - idk what avj means - ... that is the point. It is not labeled a secret and is unnecessary for 100%. It is to troll people who search every nook and cranny for things. It is also near impossible to reach depending on which port you are using. (I might as well just get rid of it) - the map is solely about the descent to the caverns and the fights you encounter. I just wanted to make a map that could be beaten in roughly 10 minutes. No switch/ key hunting. - The end fight is meant to put the player to the test. You are on a platform surrounded by columns and roaming arch viles. At this point you should have the BFG and at least enough ammo to one shot nearly all of them at a time. Watch your footing, keep behind cover, stay aware of the Arch viles postions and its fine. - I would really appreciate footage, I really need to see what is going on as I can't replicate it. - There is a more recent version of LOTVC just a few posts back, though I am not sure that will remedy any of the issues you've presented.
