  2. Hey, ive only just now found out about you through a texture pack and found out you made a speech called "Doom is an art scene" and I really enjoyed it. It says a lot about how Romero made an awesome community (that im proud to be in) that is seriously passionate about Doom and its modding scene. As a part of this passionate community and wanting to make my own games and stories with the engine (or at least GZDoom), this hit me and made me feel good. Thank you for the speech.

     

  3. I only just saw your "Doom as an art scene" (mini) speech for the first time today. I love it, it perfectly states so many things about the Doom scene that are often unconsidered by most. As one of the many thousands of people out there who are seriously passionate about the game, modding it, it's community, both single player and multiplayer, I found it pretty impactful and heartfelt, and listening to it just flat out made me feel good. Just have to leave you a little compliment letting you know!

  4. Hey there! Is there a up to date discography (maps,...) about you? The doom wiki one seems outdated because i saw a map from you in mutiny and mayhem 1500. I would really appreciate it!

      Hi! I don't tend to keep track very well since the release dates are usually way past when I made the map, but iirc those are the only two maps missing from doomwiki! I haven't made a doom map in quite a while.

      oh i just remembered there's a map of mine in Nova 2! i forgot about that. I also made a map for Ultimate Doom In Name Only but i dont think that ever got finished/released

  6. Another Devs Play Doom video popped up, with JP LeBreton and John Romero playing through JP's Arcadia Demade. Plenty more interesting insights from the two of them. Watch it here.
  7. Matthias Worch (one of the level designers behind Memento Mori 2 and Requiem), now an accomplished level and game designer, has recently started streaming a series of level design retrospective videos. These videos are a look back over his beginnings of level design, starting with the Doom levels he made, through Quake and many more. If you missed the first stream, he was kind enough to upload it to YouTube, and his future videos can be found on his channel as he uploads them. I'm sure some of our more seasoned veterans of the Doom community can tell you more than I can about Matthias, but he has written a good roundup of his Doom experience on his website.
