When I tried to apply the Doom palette on GIMP, it looked like crap. When I converted it on Slade3 it was a big improvement. The result was exactly the one you're looking at and I don't think it looks bad. @plums Wohooah! I didn't think about that. Now it's completely seamless! Nice job! :D Edit: Sorry about the double posting. I forgot to multiquote.

I tried but it seems like once b/w the picture can't be recolored again. It just stays b/w.

Hello people! I finally decided to contribute to this thread by posting a photo sourced sky texture. I used a picture taken by a friend of mine, so I cropped it, scaled it down and edited it with GIMP to make it look seamless. It comes in two versions: true color and paletted. Feel free to use it, just credit me. (I hope I posted them correctly)

It's crazy because yesterday I just casually typed "doom baron of hell sight sound" on Google and this video showed up. So, there you go. The Baron of Hell and Hell Knight are not elephants but low pitched women. -

PLOTWIST: The sound has been under our noses all along but we didn't know. Someone found the ORIGINAL (for real this time) sample used for the Baron/Hell Knight sight sound. Check it out: -
Oh, bother. I knew it was gonna end like this T_T Oh well. I guess I will not use that custom sound.

Basically, what I need to do is to extend that delay the game uses when you quit by at least 1 second in order to play that specific custom sound completely.

The duration of the sound used as quit sounds in Doom 2 can vary but the longest is 1s 2ms (the Arachnothron and ArchVile roaming sounds). My custom sound, however, lasts 2 seconds and because the game shuts down earlier than that you will only hear 1s and 6ms (circa) of it.

Hello there! I put some custom sounds as quit menu sounds and they play fine... except for one. The sound is not that long but not short enough to prevent the game to cutting it before it ends. Is there a way to solve this issue? Thank you in advance.

Meanwhile, I think I also found the actual sample of the Baron of Hell death sound. I played the well known bear cub crying sound backwards and after some experiments I strongly believe that is the sound we were looking for. I used the 4th moan for (BaronDeath and BaronUntouched) the 5th moan (BaronDth1 and BaronDth2) and I also mixed them together. Nice attempt! I tried to pitch doen the audio a bit but the second half still doesn't sound right. My only guess is that there's some sort of pitch bending going on there. Which one of my edits did you use btw?
