  1. When you realize that the windows are only going to be problematic from a gameplay perspective and now have to figure out how to deal with a bunch of visual clutter:

      The caution stripes are fine, they set the stage of the area, but theres maybe a bit too much. Namely, the part BEHIND the windows (I assume the areas between the red pillars are windows) I'd dump that for a more plain texture, so that the actual textures making up the windows are brought more into the focal point.

      Some variance in lighting between the rooms visible through the windows should help as well.

      aren't there any midtex's you can use to make the stripes on the outside less visible?
