Small update. The pack is getting pretty big, but also pretty interesting to use, IMO. Where could I release it when I finish?
-
When you said frames I just had another idea and now it's going to be a slightly bigger project, but thanks for the encouragement.
-
I'm sorry for posting so much, I've been in a frenzy and this is probably going to be a texture pack. I decided to ditch the dark wood frame as it would make the project too big, but also because it didn't match well with the stones. I've made some bricks for it too. I'm going to call it gempackd. Once I'm finished with it I'll create a thread in the proper place. I've been too excited about some textures. In the meantime, check these out:

So, I actually expanded the scope and... An amber table. I just have to make this with all the stones that I have decided to create (ruby, sapphire, emerald, marble 1, 2 and 3, granite, opal, citrine, wood and white stone) and also with all different frames I've decided to use (black, gold, silver, light wood and dark wood). Hope there's interest for this stuff. Edit: new screenshot I think it can look good.

That is one of the best compliments I could have received about this project. I love Adventures of Square (Ep3 when?).

I liked the bottom one but mr. prfunky has a point. These might look good for steps and other details. Hmm.

I edit using GIMP a lot, so it's useful to test both before and after editing. Didn't know about that slade feature, though. Thanks!

Just found this softwarte to test "tileability". Is that a word? I don't know, but it's pretty useful. https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/seamless-tile/9NHRTTZB0VQT

I'll pack these up in a WAD as soon as possible, much work to do still. There is much more where these came from.
-
I'm working on a wood themed texture pack along with the tiles. Just made these metal and wood, metal and stones textures. (Yup, I love color swapping) Edit: These are Doom palleted.
-
Again with the tiles. These are only the ones that fit the doom pallete. I'll do many more for limit removing mods. There are some screenshots below. And a weird double spine that I have to fix because it doesn't tile perfectly. Some screenshots:

Now they match! I edited the "Pinky armor" again. I have no idea about modding, but maybe a suit of armor that damages demons that are close to the player (seeing as the pinky is a proximity based enemy). Or maybe an armor mimic or cursed armor. I'll leave this here if anyone feels like grabbing it and doing something with it.
-
Not to derail or anything, but this design is really great. I made pinky armor just because I was playing with the hues and liked the color. Also played with the other one and made a male and female design.

Thanks for the answer, makes sense. I noticed it just a little bit later. Would you mind explaining very quickly why does that effect happen when using hardware acceleration? I know that software rendering has that warping effect when yolu activate moselook, but why do the textures on hardware acceleration? Fascinating stuff.

Just checked on SLADE and it's both in the doom2 wad and in the sprite fix project. Maybe it's not a mistake, but it looks like it, like they tried to make a speck of blood but it was left there or something. Still think it looks weird. EDit: Just checked the flow of the sprite and it seems to be they tried to make it be his eye poppring from its socket? Honestly, I don't think it looks good, but hardcore of their part. Maybe it's the sprite height problem showing in my pc too. I use GZDoom, after all.
-
Thanks. I was thinking about continuing, but I think I need some more time to develop my skills better. Doing textures for now.
-
I don't know if it's been pointed out, but There seems toi be 5 loose blood pixels on the machinegunner's death sprite. They are below the floor level, and thus are only seen when he dies upon a h igher platform than the player. I don't know if this has been pointed out or if it's from vanilla Doom or the mod.

Some time ago I wanted to make a 90's based enemy spritesheet for some reason. These are Ryan GoslIMP and RADvenant (Yup, I suck at spriting).

I want to create a lot of tilesets from a set of images that I found. I want to make a lot of colors and variations. Still working on it.
