  3. doom mod idea: you have cats alongside your guns. you can alt fire to pet them.
  4. A variety of random sprites of weapons I threw together out of photos and some 3d renders :) (spoilered because some of these flash a bit)
  5. Had a bit of a scare when my hard drive that had the map on it started to fail. Thanks Western Digital, very cool. Thankfully I moved it to a folder on a drive that is safe, so no more scares for now... It's 5AM, too early for this shit. Anyway, have some screenshots!
  6. After racking my brain for ideas, I ended up with a simple idea inspired from a quote from a Dean of Doom video on Community Chest 2. On Map16, "Spirit World HQ" by Gene Bird: "This warehouse full of decorations got me thinking that this map is supposed to be a sort of 'Doom Level Workshop.'" So the general idea I'm going for here is that it's a factory that produces Doom level layouts and textures... The Doom Builder! I am very nervous about this map as it is my first community project submission and I'm worried it might not hold up to the other maps in this collection. I'm gonna try to power through those worries though!

  10. Gave the map a go. I feel like a cunt for saying this, but I didn't like it. A lot of similar looking rooms with a lot of hitscanners, level progression that feels more like finding secrets than going through a place, secrets that are ridiculously easy to find, a secret that's *necessary* to complete (!?) and combat that feels bland. Playing this felt like a mess and it took way longer than it should have. I ended up cheating out of frustration a couple times.
  11. Gave it a go, good little map. Short but nice. I like some of the cool shapes and the weird rooms (a hell bathroom and a hell breakroom... heh!)
  12. Just gave this a quick edit. Hope some of you guys would be willing to give this a go!
  13. Gave it a quick playthrough. I'm personally not a fan of the big fights with hitscanners as those feel like they're reliant on luck rather than skill. Some cool bits of geometry though. I like the metal bars on the sky and the cool floor shapes.
