  1. This gives me flashbacks to the Bioshock 2 multiplayer mode. Is that even still alive? I remember the Assassin's Creed 4 Multiplayer mode too, that one was actually kinda fun though. Hope that still has a small community.
  2. It felt weird when I saw it on the Direct. Like, I was expecting more build up to the trailer but instead it just, happened. Nice to see anyway, I hope they re-release 2 and 3 first though.
  3. ATTENTION: TF2 Heavy needs YOUR help to save TF2 from the INVASION of BOTS! All you need to do is send him your parents' payment details, the 3 numbers on the back and the expiration date! BE QUICK, before Valve DESTROYS TF2!
  4. I really hope they make a game called Doom: The Dark Ages, that'd be kinda cool.
  5. Hitman Contracts is a very unique game in the series in terms of its tone. The other games aren't always cheery cheery, but Contracts really goes in that darker gloomy tone. The soundtrack has plenty of electronic sounds and all that, but also loads of atmospheric tracks which are done perfectly. It gives the game a creepy atmosphere that I just love. The levels are flashbacks, while your character is recovering from a gunshot wound. The outside world in real life is raining, so every level is during rain (even in the Hitman 1 remake levels, where it wasn't actually raining). The sound of the rain + the atmospheric music is super iconic and memorable for me, and it's one of the reasons why it's my favorite in the series. Even with the themes and levels aside, the game quickly pulls off its dark and grim setting through it's visual and sound design. I feel like the recent HITMAN 3 took some inspiration from this game, albeit with a more cinematic and flashy nature at times. I still feel like this did it better though, perhaps the old game-y feel aids its uneasy tone. There's probably more I can bring up, but it's been a while since I last played this game so that's all I've got currently.
  6. I can't believe Doom came out 80 years ago... Shit's crazy man.

  7. Genuinely a nice end, why can't more problems on here end like this?
  8. I'm sure 2 people are THRILLED by this, GearsFan420FazeWeed is so excited rn.
  9. I feel like AAA companies are too scared to take risks with new IP's, unless they are done via another company (Even then, said company will probably get shut down due to poor sales, which always sucks...) I can imagine Bethesda going back to their ES/Fallout hole after what happened with Starfield, and the success of the Fallout TV series. Monetarily, I can't really blame them. At the end of the day, these are companies with higher ups and quotas and all that. Not that I'm excusing the shitty practises towards their workers and owned companies though, don't get me wrong. My computer probably won't be able to run the "NEW AAA GAMES" anyway, so I'm content with my older games and Indie games. I'll happily play my 50th Indie Rogue-Like Boomer Shooter, Souls-Like, Cozy, Rogue-Lite Farming Sim. (I'm kidding, Indie Games are cool, good on them)
  10. A whole world of Gameplay Mods to blindly discover for the first time, I remember those times. God, I envy them...
  11. I can hardly come up with any other thread ideas besides stuff about Video Games, so here's another thread with stuff about Video Games... :) I have a fair amount of hours in some games, some definitely draw me in more than others. For reference, here's my most played on Steam: (Games below that include stuff like Hitman 2 and 3, Terraria. These are just the top ones) Sometimes these times can feel a bit embarrassing for me (I genuinely don't know how GMod got that high, I'm not even that big on it...), but really I guess these are just games I especially like! Plus, I've seen people with over 1k hours on stuff, which makes me feel a bit better. So, what are your most played games? I'd say, "besides Doom" but I don't even know how you'd display 'hours played' on Doom ports. Mine is Hearts of Iron 4, which I still wouldn't claim I'm good at (Ask me again at 2000 hours), but that's just the nature of those kinds of Grand Strategy games.
  12. In the final level, you think Hugo is gonna lose, but then Mr John Microsoft himself flies in! In an act of power and might, he closes the entire company due to “reprioritization of titles and resources”, thus removing the Doomslayer from existence. YOU WIN!
  13. I've heard his covers of other songs from other albums, I forget which ones, but I wasn't that big on them. With that in mind, I probably won't bother with this one.
  14. I think I've had a really similar situation going on for a while now. I used to play Doom and loads of other FPSs, but now I've moved over to mainly Strategy games, mainly Paradox stuff. I've got loads of hours on Hearts of Iron 4, recently tried getting into Crusader Kings 3 too, and I've been trying but struggling to get into Europa Universalis 4. They all seem fun (when I'm not getting angry at stuff going wrong lol), and the brilliant modding community really makes them last hours and hours. Besides Paradox, FTL has been pretty fun too (if also frustrating at times). Still can't beat the final ship, but eh, I'll get there eventually. Really looking forward to playing that Multiverse mod after I beat the vanilla game. Strategy aside, I've been playing Subnautica too. Picked it up a few times over the years but I never finished it, hopefully this will be different. Really love the progression of it compared to other Survival games, with how you get new equipment and items to get to new areas in the map. It's almost like a sort of Metroidvania-Survival hybrid of a progression system (if that's not too much of a stretch).
  15. I think I briefly played the demo of that a while back. Couldn't get far into it then, but maybe I'll give it another shot. I think it also partially got lost in the long, long, long, LONG list of Retro FPS games. Grappling Hook looks cool though, so that's a unique thing, I'll give it a go. This feels like one of those games you'd see at an old E3 while you're waiting for them to talk about the next Halo game. Then you find it at a Game store while looking for said next Halo game on the shelves. The screenshots look like some sort of WW1 F.E.A.R hybrid, looks fairly entertaining actually. Price is good too, on the list it goes.
