  1. DeHacked "Hit points, sounds, frame sequences, text strings and several other miscellaneous values can be changed."
  2. Maestro: A somewhat dark movie about Leonard Bernstein, a musical virtuoso of the 20th century. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues: A stupid but funny movie that continues the exploits of Ron Burgundy. [For me, the highlight was the myriad cameos of well-known comedians at the end.]
  3. A madly chattering helmeted skull that shoots fiery bolts from its eyes? Time to go run and hide. (Or is it "hide and run"?)
  4. Yes, DEUSF not DeHacked. Also, I had forgotten about the DOS angle.
  5. "Shorter of breath, and one day closer to death" Time
  6. I didn't even consider DooM "clones" when originally posting on this thread. I will say that, even though I thoroughly enjoyed Heretic, I felt that HeXen carried the medieval concept much further. Plus, the hub feature (which was confusing at first) introduced a far-reaching element of replayability.
  7. Patrick Star looks as if he's scheming up something nasty. I'd better hide.
  8. I will check it out when I have the time. It was the heroin addiction element of the story that depressed me. Layer Cake is an exciting British crime drama with Daniel Craig (before he was cast as "Bond, James Bond"), Colm Meaney (he, of Miles O'Brien fame in Star Trek: TNG & Star Trek: DS9), and Michael Gambon (Prof. Dumblydore in the later Harry Potter movies).
  9. Yes! Excellent, albeit depressing, movie.
  10. Also, if I remember correctly (I'm somewhat rusty on my "vanilla" DooM editing), you will need DeHacked or a similar utility to include custom sprites for a vanilla DooM mod.
  11. I don't know if this game has been mentioned, but Killing Time is a somewhat obscure FPS game from 1996.
  12. DooM 2 for me. Much as I loved The Ultimate DooM, the sequel offered so many more enemies (plus, the versatile DB shotgun), that I've replayed it far more times than TUD. I'll walk out on the heresy plank and state that I haven't played DooM 3, DooM 2016, DooM Eternal, or any of the games that succeeded DooM 2.
  13. S4turn is, in reality, a shoggoth from the Cthulhu Mythos. Therefore, a mere Mongol Chieftain has absolute no hope of victory.
  14. If the mod is for (G)ZDooM you can create a new player class that starts the game with no weapons/ammo (including fists).
  15. It's actually quite clever, and it brings back one of the major villains of the original.
  16. That crescent moon on her forehead is hypnotic and creep-inducing at the same time.
  17. Sadly, I think my Mongol Chieftain stands no reasonable chance in a fight against grooving DooM Guy. (Clever topic, btw.)
  18. Ha! What are the chances? The most recent movie that I, too, watched was "Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget".
  19. This is not a parody of a song, per se; rather it's a parody of a "style" - in this case, Frank Zappa's style. But it stands alone as a hilarious tribute to FZ.
  20. I might be a few cards short of a full deck, but I feel like every "era" has been "best". Like most people, I've had ups and downs, but on balance I'd say things have worked out well throughout. (I attribute this to a lot of luck, and, in some small measure, making the correct choices.)
