  1. Heh. I suppose you're right. :P Not the first time I've had mistaken priorities. But yeah, my girlfriend appears to appreciate the help and the kids are responding favorably to me too, so I guess that's all that really matters. Thanks for helping me see that.
  2. My mental health is probably the best it's ever been. I now have a wonderful girlfriend with two kids. I have a family now. I feel like I belong. That said, it still comes with some challenges. The kids can be a handful, even on a good day. My 8-year-old in particular has some special needs. I'm also jobless currently and finding a job has been a herculean endeavor. It's also been a big bruise on my ego. Sometimes I have quite a few doubts both about my employability and my aptitude as a new parent. All I can honestly say is that I'm trying. And it seems to be working for the most part.
  3. Hey guys, it's been a while. I just put out a small QoL patch for the game and I'm gonna try to be more aggressive in development. Just been too busy with personal stuff lately. I apologize.
  4. New version out! Comes with some goodies. Check out the patch notes in the main post for the salient points. :3 Enjoy!
  5. This is the sort of wacky, bonkers bullshit that GZDoom was made for. I love the premise of this and how deep down the rabbit hole it goes with it. I love the sound effects and pickup graphics. I love the quirky spells and wand effects that you can get with the tomes. It just feels FUN. That said, I do have to agree that the default HUD is a bit loud and tiny. Making it more subdued and readable would be nice. But that's really the only major gripe I have with this. Good job!
  6. Nice! Welcome (back?) to Doom mapping. :) More of a mod dev myself, but maps are rad!
  7. just added a guide on how to run the game in Delta Touch, underneath general install instructions. Check it out! EDIT: Also, regarding energy concerns, I'm probably just gonna say "fuck it" and increase the default energy cap of the planes by 1.5x or so. Will need some testing afterwards, but that should be sufficient to address the scarcity problem. EDIT 2 Electric Boogaloo: Just pushed forth a new balancing patch. Check it out, duderinos!
  8. Thanks for your feedback! I can see where you're coming from with all your points. Especially regarding energy resources. It's just kinda tough to know what to do when you're the only one working on it. In any case, I'll see about working on it. And I'll also see about a guide to get it running on Delta. You may be having trouble because it needs a special control config on Delta to comfortably playable.
  9. Good? Yes The optimal way to play either game? Hell no. But they are playable and even enjoyable on the Switch at least. Also, Eternal is the better of the two. Yeah, the graphics are hugely downgraded, but it runs at a more consistent framerate than 2016, it actually has all the content, and the gyro controls are better than they were in 2016.
  10. Big one is mouselook. Might be considered sacrilege, but I like being able to move my virtual head up and down and target enemies accurately.
  11. Shower thought for the day: if you spend a large amount of time perusing these forums, are you technically Doomscrolling?
