  1. Nevermind, I fixed it. Just added the newest GZdoom version to the list of ports and it worked.
  2. Do I need a new version of GZDoom for this to work? I keep getting errors when trying to launch it using DoomLauncher. When trying to use the standalone version, the batch file runs FreeDoom instead.
  3. Very relaxed thus far (did maps 1-3 and 31, 32). It feels like an udercover spy kinda story, and the locales are as usual pretty cute!
  4. Improving. Self-confidence going up, taking up projects even if I don't fully know a plan beforehand (trusting future self), taking (albeit small) risks. Focusing on the process, not the reward. Tired though.
  5. A fellow book collector, I see. Mine are cook/bake books, SF and politics and pyhsics textbooks.
  6. I have a question about the map - what makes it a LGBT+ tribute map? I tried looking at the automap but any symbolism escapes me.
  7. Depends what the "lore" of the map is, as my maps are often quasi-realistic. Depicting a bank siege? Start behind a sandbag wall, under fire from Manc turrets. Infiltration scenario? Start in a box, or in an alley etc.
  8. Ah, yes, that copper merchant in Mesopotamia was a real azzhole with his bad copper (or was it bronze)?
  9. It's actually an island in a lake of lava atop a volcano. Checkmate. EDIT: Goddamnit I got beat to it.

I have one fight in one of my unreleased maps, where there is a horde of Pinkies coming your way while the player is armed with the RL, so they need to be killed quickly before you get pinned in. At the same time, there are Arachnotrons on your side, but elevated above you, forcing a spiral pattern of movement while approaching and backing away from Pinkies, to make the plasma balls under/overshoot you.
  12. Is there a resource WAD with foliage somewhere? I am looking to spruce my maps up. Pining for plants, you could say.

Well, I probably am missing something, but the reasons are varied (and probably can be circumvented): having to wait for bugs to skitter along after doing my turn the game assuming I know how to open doors and how to use items the last part is frustrating because it also consumes your action points It probably gets ironed out with experience but I feel the game just does not respect my time by not telling me these basics. This is not Doom where the interaction with the world is "shoot" or "hump".
  14. I bought this game but that flipping tutorial ticks me off every time. So glacially slow.
