  1. like a bearded demon flexing his muscles
  2. Huge ass hellish palaces, like Sunder's surrounded by lava oceans or Stargate 20x6's floating in space. They're the grandest type of level. Too bad many of them are so long, but something smaller like Bloodsea Keep works too.
  3. Yes! I bought all of them. My PC is good enough to even play Eternal (which took forever to download). It's a dumb thing to make a thread for, but I finally have all the games of one franchise, from oldest to newest. This is the first time this happens... and this is my favorite game franchise. Yay. Oh and it also means I'll be able to join conversation when y'all speak of everything Doom instead of being limited to the old games. ...and the first thing I see when I enter Steam is a "hotdogcubus". Yeah I really am wondering how different the new games (haven't played them yet. I have to download the other one!) are from the old ones. Thought the newer games were dark and serious compared to the crazy shit you can see at community wads (and I saw some people kind of sad saying the new games were taking the "serious route" here once). You know, Santa Doom, Doom in Spain, Mock 2, Impcense, all that... but then I see a Mancubus who spread mustard on itself. But yeah I'm so stupidly happy right now.
  4. It took me over a month or two to beat Hillside Siege and another month or two to beat Overwhelming Odds on UV. It was hell, but if I can do it, then you can do it too!
  5. Yeah I think they're the least used monster. That's probably because they're just tankier chaingunners while cyberdemons are different from other enemies.
  6. Basically do you like it when these two are used many times as mid-bosses and bosses, or do you find them to be tedious bullet sponges with crap patterns and unfun to fight? Would you rather have them as a boss that only appeared once (Doom 1), or that appears once per wad and then never again? What makes good Cyberdemon and Spiderdemon placement?
  7. But why the Caribbean? Why the hell would they teleport there?
  8. Could've chosen art as a topic but wads is more Doom so let's go with that. Do you think all wads are equal? Are Wow.wad and Habitat just as good as Babylon's Chimera, Beast Island or Prison? Simple as that. I believe what's competent and what's not has some degree of objectivity, and then when it''s good enough things get more subjective. If you don't want to be harsh on other fellow users' creations, you are free not to use examples of wads made by the community (I don't mind it, but ah well). I guess you could make comparisons between commercial wads if not. Otherwise you can just make up your own examples or not use any. EDIT: I ask this too because someday I'd like to make a wad. However, if it's all subjective, how do I know what'll make it good or not??
  9. Monster Condo, but The Chasm and The Courtyard are also great too.
  10. Doom Eternal's tyrant is way too skinny. He should be a lot more buff, like the original cyberdemon or even 2016's one.
  11. Suburbs has a part where a shit ton of monsters spawn and you make a bfg fest with them.
  12. You sure? Why wouldn't they use teleportation in combat then?
  13. TNT Evilution takes place on Jupiter and its moons. That's cool. Demons bring their own reality with them and that's how there's crazy abstract structures like libraries and giant circles of death in Doom 2. That's also cool. But TNT has a secret level set in the Caribbean, where there's demonic bungalows with demons in them. Ok, but how the hell did demons either get aaaall the way from fucking Jupiter to the Caribbean or even conceptualize what a Caribbean bungalow looks like when they're so far away from Earth? (of course this question is ridiculous, but I like having fun)
  14. I've also just realized that Dean of Doom would only have 2 episodes.
