Ryona? A man of high-culture it seems. Honestly though, ryona is a fascinating genre in and of itself. Some of those products are damn masterpieces if you ask me. Anyway, I'll be taking a look for sure. --- Edit: Died like 15 times in the first jump alone.Fitting of the name. Still working my way through map1.

I have been playing What lies Beneath and it's fantastic. Superb atmosphere and who doesn't love a mansion with secrets? (Resident Evil 1 Remake for the win). Another wad that I am going through is Doom 2 in City Only but it's a really solid WAD that I am having great fun going through. A bit slaughter-ish but still great fun. In Non-Doom I am playing Valkyrie Profile 2 Silmeria, a fantastic PS2 RPG, and after 30 hours, I am grinding my way through the Palace of the Venerated Dragon (which is kicking my ass). Fantastic RPG if you ask me. I have also been playing a lot of Escape from Tarkov SPT which is just amazing. I love the atmosphere, guns and sound design. Their work is legit some of the best in the industry in terms of realism so it's brilliant. If you don't like multiplayer toxicity and cheating, take a look at SPT. Speaking of tactical realism, Call of Doom will release this month so I definitely will be downloading that.

I love it. It's my favorite episode after Episode 1. E4M1 and E4M2 are still my favorites despite the eff you difficulty. Even so, not every bad is brilliant but overall I love it.

Hey, listen! HEY LISTEN! HEY, HEY, LISTEN! How about them links? Or screenshots? Or basic information? I hear all the cool kids are doing that. I might be wrong though.

Fantastic work! That living timelapse is a really cool touch. It gives me mad Silent Hill 4 vibes.

Glorious (2022) - A strange, horror-comedy-cosmic horror movie about a man who stops at a public restroom along the way, after what seems to have been a bad breakup. After drinking himself senseless and passing out in front of the restroom, he gets inside and finds himself locked inside with an Elder god occupying the last stall who claims he needs to help him or reality itself will be destroyed. From then on, crazy things happen (often) in a comedic manner. It sounds totally crazy (and it is) but I couldn't help but love it. It's a bit low-budget, which you can see in the CGI, as well as in the main characters over-acting sometimes, but goddamn it, I liked it. It's one of the few movies I have seen that successfully manages to go from scary to humourous (and back) often within seconds, in a way that I don't really remember seeing before. Also (no spoilers but just a comment on the ending and vague description of it), So yeah, I totally liked it and I would recommend it to fans of cosmic horror movies (if you can accept some strange-comedy approach to it).

Every time there is a new update, my mind is blown. It's just amazing work through and through. Are you sure you are not a professional game developer working for some triple-A company?

Well, that's an interesting question. I wouldn't exactly call myself a masochistic gamer but I absolutely hate-love challenging BUT FAIR games. You mentioned From Software and they are very good at that. As for why I think it's a combination of: -1. The satisfaction of finally overcoming that which has been pummeling me into the ground for hours (or sometimes even days). -2. This need or desire to not give up against overwhelming odds. -3. Gradually learning and adapting my plans to overcome that challenge, whether it's a boss in Dark Souls or a particularly nasty fight in a Doom Wad, the process is the same. Learn, adapt and overcome. -4. The memory of it is something I can remember for a long time. The first two maps in E4 absolutely wrecked me for a long time until I managed to get through them. Now, they are my favorite maps in E4, and quite frankly, many of the other maps in E4 I don't even remember whereas I remember almost every single enemy in E4M1 and E4M2. -5. The damn obsession of it. (I am currently playing Sekiro:Shadows Die Twice (by far the most difficult game I have ever played) and this boss I am working on now has killed me over a dozen times. I am so obsessed with him that he haunts my dreams. Sad thing is, he's one of the earliest bosses in the game so unless I git gud (as they say) this game is going to take a long time). There are probably other reasons for why (pride is one of them, I hate the idea of giving up on something). But the key word for me is FAIRNESS. If it's just difficult because of bad design or bullshit mechanics I am not interested at all. If it's genuinely well done, but challenging or difficult, that's perfectly acceptable. But I will take a break in between these kinds of experiences. If I finish a particularly nasty slaughterwad for example, I probably won't play another slaughtermap for a few months.

(FIXED) Little Sweet Mountain lab (A tiny map for DOOM II)
NonniR replied to Kuro_mahoh's topic in WAD Releases & Development
I just went through the map on UV, all kills, no deaths, and just like the name implies - lilsweet. I kind of loved the idea. Small rooms packed with enemies, no need to think or strategize - just mindless, simple, fun slaughter. I don't mean to imply it's poorly done or anything like that, just so you know. Anyway, I liked it. Great job. -
So maybe I am just totally blind or something but has the download link been removed?

I haven't been playing much Doom recently (busy with other games) but started Syringe on Switch. Map 1 is pleasantly difficult and gave me a run for my money - especially when that Archvile showed up towards the end. I wasn't expecting that. Also wasn't expecting how much Doom I am playing on my Switch. I just bought it since it was on sale a while back. Turns out it was a great decision (even though a part of me feels extremely weird not playing Doom on a PC but hey times change I guess). And I can't wait to make the time to play Augur;Zenith - it looks amazing.
