  1. Way ahead of you, Rex! I plan on diving deep into Mignola's work. I've got over 20 years of cool stuff to explore!
  2. HELLBOY! All of it, mate. It's been great fun so far. Been meaning to read it for years after being such a big fan of the Del Toro movies. Mike Mignola's artwork alone is incredible. Currently on Volume 3.
  3. I hate to ask again, @Laz Rojas but you didn't answer it last time: Have you tried any of the homeless shelters in Pasadena? I found nine of them using Google.
  4. I've finished it. Not sure what I may have missed in RC2 but hopefully it's nothing earth-shattering and just minor tweaks. I have to say, @myolden that your second map in particular is probably the most aggravating map I've played in a long time and I came VERY close to rage-quitting, but I'm happy to report that I got there in the end. Regardless, a very tongue-in-cheek "FUCK YOU!" to you, ya pesky penguin prick! ;^) Overall, it's another quality mapset. You squonked me long and hard, thank you very much!
  5. E2 and E3, in my honest opinion, really do pale in comparison compared to E1. In retrospect, it was a very good idea that Romero's E1 was in fact E1 or Doom would've probably had a harder time impressing people right out of the gate, I feel. E2 is pretty mid, but E3 is just... I've nothing very nice to say about it. I can't think of a single E3 map that I enjoy, to be perfectly frank. Whenever I play through Doom 1, which is pretty rare now, I usually only play E1 and E4 because of how lackluster I find E2 and E3.
  6. I love it so far. I hadn't been keeping up with things lately as I've been pretty busy with work and other interests lately, so I'm still playing RC1. Here's part 1 of my playthrough!
  7. It's good fun and while, indeed, its difficulty is a little exaggerated, it's a great way to ease new players into what they could expect from community-made WADs. I'd say it's my second favourite Doom 1 episode after E1.
  8. @AnArchaicApparatus You've got a damn cool map here, mate. Sadly, that big slaughter room felt impenetrable for me on UV. I'll take it for another spin tomorrow on HMP and hopefully I can finish it that way. Really cool details, architecture, traps, level progression, etc. Best map submission so far!
  9. Sounds like you're taking the news pretty well, Widow. Hope it doesn't take you too long to find a new place.
  10. These giant password/data leak/breaches are becoming insanely common at this point. I change all my passwords for my most frequently used accounts/visited sites annually now because I don't trust the integrity of the security of any major website these days.
  11. Considering the full release is also late itself, I wouldn't worry about it too much, fam.
  12. The staff are working on it. Shit's fucked right now and it sucks, but they're aware and they'll tell us when they've reached some sort of breakthrough in regards to a fix.
  13. I certainly don't HATE TNT by any real metric, but I've tried to play through it several times and the level design is just horrifically boring most of the time. Most maps feel very slapdash and rushed with unimaginative combat and tedious progression. On the bright side, the music kicks arse and is useful for people to use the midis in other WAD, and the former TNT members still floating around in the community have gone on to produce way better stuff since then.
  14. Doomcute sector cakes in an adorable display case by @AshtralFiend
  15. Just keeping us in the know with what's happening at this stage is all we really need, Essel. I figured you guys are doing all you can and don't want to really announce anything until it's worth announcing, but small posts like this so we're not totally left in the dark is cromulent and will prevent people from thinking the staff are too busy, too lazy or too disinterested to do anything about the situation. Thanks for the update!
  16. @KnievilRoo It's a good start, but it's quite rough around the edges. There's some nice detailing going here and there, but your texture work is also really wonky and slapdash. There's also a couple of odd situations where the demons are placed in cramped conditions that make them helpless to fight, completely useless and I even spotted a gaggle of non-hostile chaingunners that just stood there. Overall the map has a bit of a "rushed" quality to it. Remember, DW Max runs for the entire year, so take your time to craft your map.
  17. I do hope the next time we hear from Laz, it'll be good news.
  18. As an Australian, snow is a foreign concept to me.
  19. After spending a lot of time last year animating countryballs for some client videos, I've become rather enamoured with the silly little fellas and joined the Polandball community. If you're at all interested in what I've been up to recently, you can check out my comics and animated shorts I've been making over on the Polandball subreddit by going to my personal page here. If you don't give a toss, no hard feelings mate! ;^P
