I mean, like anything else in this world, some people can just have a bit of a knack for a specific thing and can take to it like a duck to water, but on the other side of the coin, anyone can learn just about anything if they put in the time and effort. I don't believe in the idea that some people are just born brilliant and never had to work for their skill set. I think people can find that they may have a natural aptitude for a certain thing, but I don't believe that people are just infinitely locked out of learning or obtaining a skill that they desire. The only thing stopping them is the willingness to put in the work. You want to make Doom maps? Open your level editor and start drawing lines, fam. It's how every other mapper you admire got to where they are now.

The menu with all the floating floppy disks is downright adorable.

Anyone still hanging shit on the Unity port at this point clearly hasn't been paying attention to all the significant improvements that have been made on it since it first came out. It's perfectly fine now as a way for people to play Doom today right out of the gate on GOG or Steam or whatever without having to either wrestle with DOSBox or learn what the hell a source port even is.

So THAT'S what was going on. Honestly, I thought it was just my browser being weird.

Man, that last fight is deceptively nasty.

EANB's Snowfury is a fun one I remember playing. There's also this promising newbie map, Snow Crash from earlier this year.

I find the idea very unlikely. Considering that the man hasn't composed a game soundtrack in nearly a decade, hasn't updated his blog since 2018 and his recent, but successful battle with colon cancer, I think it's safe to say that Prince is more or less retired.

Wow, this might be the best My First Doom Map of the year for me, personally. You did an incredible job, mate. The design, the architecture, texturing, lighting, combat, everything is just really well done. You blew my expectations out of the water with the delightful flow of your level progression and things never felt predictable. I really hope we get to see more from you, fam, because you are bursting with potential.

Considering how badly he was treated, I'd be more concerned if Gordon did actually come back to score another Doom game or anything else for those arseholes ever again. For the sake of his artistry and mental health, I'd prefer Gordon stay as far away from id Software and Bethesda as humanly possible.
