  1. +1 to Eternity. I have compiled it from source on both Void Linux and NixOS. It's pretty straightforward in that regard.
  2. Searched a little and found this thread in Reddit about exchanging System.Drawing methods with another library like SkiaSharp. Would that be feasible here? Got no idea about C#
  3. What would be needed to port UDB to Linux? In term of launchers, there's this CLI program called twad (of which I also have a fork with some tweaks currently not working) that has many nice features, like integration with rofi and dmenu.
  4. Hey, I was wondering if you could lend me a hand: some time ago I played a collection of "addons" maps to some of the first DBP projects. I think it was made by SuperCupcakeTactics, but I cannot find them anywhere. Any idea?

  5. DBP10: Earth Ends gets very good starting from MAP04. MAP04 in particular is my favorite

  6. Because people want them to be ;) Mechanic that throws you out of comfort = bad for most people. Personally, I like to be disoriented. Back when I played WoW, PvP skirmishes in Stranglethorn Valley had a tendency to involve water clashes in some way. Brutal. You could win some of them just by holding your breath longer by virtue of being an undead, a shaman, or a warlock Later on Cataclysm, Vashj'ir was the first, and only, water level of WoW and I loved every second. Most people did not Now, Vashj'ir's case is, I believe, common among water levels: implementing good mechanics for a single level is a waste. What Vashj'ir is right now is not even close to what was planned
  7. Loved your MAP04 on Sanguine Holy Land, mate ;)

  8. Hey, sorry for asking this here, but am unable to run both Doom 64 nor Quake Remastered on Linux. When launching, both games crash; the logs say that there's an Access Violation related to dxgi.dll

    Any ideas? Thanks

Your problem is specific to Proton. I'm unable to help with that, sorry. You could try running a different Proton version.

  9. MAP01: Dragonaut & MAP02: Under the Surface Overall not much to say, liked 'em for being simple wooden techbases--wood being one of my favorite aesthetics. Space is kept to the minimum and reused where possible. Could appear on an article about zen and/or minimalism in Doom. The E1M1 tribute with the green armor being on a high pedestal reacheable by steps to the left was cool.
  10. I believe the "don't forget" part is more about growing and accepting what had transpired in a "fool me once, fool me twice" manner, i.e. remember so as to not repeat the same mistake if possible and to not inflict the same onto others As other people said, some mistakes can be forgotten though others hardly so Edit: About your uncle, I can't see how he did something that needed to be forgiven. Though that depends on the person; maybe someone close by felt offended by his behavior. I don't know, may as well discuss what is actually in need of forgiveness
  11. Got an orthopedic mattress after 10 years of being diagnosed with scoliosis. Feel like a kid with a new toy
