One of these maps is very large, so it is recommended you pack a lunch and a water bottle. The set was primarily tested in dsda-doom. There is 1 secret map with the secret exit being pretty obvious tbh. Jumping and freelook are not intended for this set and will make me feel bad. Mapper was given no rules for this project.   2. The best way I've seen this expressed is as the "difficulty saw": That is, difficulty on average steadily rises but you get peaks and valleys relative to player skill as mentioned. This saw pattern can apply within a map (e.g. with weapon progression), across an episode (with map difficulties), and over the whole wad (with episode difficulties).   3. For something slightly different, I'd give Retro Studios a go at making a more metroidvania styled Doom.

  6. They're kinda half-baked versions of other textures so I get it. When they can vomit up blood like their GSTFONT brother I'll consider it!
  7. The TEKBRONs are saved from F-tier BECAUSE they look like doors, they can be used that way to spice things up occasionally. SP_ROCK looks like it should be cool but it's too busy in practice, areas that use it prominently hurt my eyes. ROCKRED is a better version of it to be fair, so it could jump up a tier.
  8. I made a dumb thing, please enjoy. This was whipped up quickly based on an arbitrary combination of how useful they are in mapping and how nice they look. Some notes: - No step textures included because they messed with the formatting (They'd all be C tier anyway) - Textures in C are not bad! Just average. Only the ones in F I actually dislike. - No flats because it was already too long. - Icon of Sin textures are not the worst, they just defy normal ranking.

  10. I'll test to make sure everything works in the intended sourceports and for ammo/health/monster balancing, but I don't do nearly enough bug or exploit testing. Perhaps a bad habit picked up from mostly doing speedmaps.
  11. I like Tangerine Nightmare's, because orange and black is a good colour scheme and just look how nice those numbers are.
