  1. My largest map to date. It's very much Inferno, Whoosh style. It should be ready by mid-to-late Summer (Very much a lack of free time for a quick release, sadly)!
  2. I’ve experienced sleep paralysis just the once, a few years ago when I was really stressed with life generally. I remember not being able to move and having a feeling of somebody evil being in the room with me. I then remember floating above my own body. The last and most terrifying part was the feeling of being suffocated by an unknown force. Was SO glad to regain control after that, and it hasn’t occurred since then.

  5. I’ve always had soft spots for ‘Congo’ and ‘Mill’ from Final Doom - they both share a wonderfully unexplainable vibe. Doom 2? Hmm… probably isn’t considered a popular choice; however I quite enjoy ‘The Abandoned Mines’. For Ultimate Doom, E1 as a whole is just a masterpiece of competent level design, so it’s impossible to pick a single contender.

  7. Thanks very much! I knew I didn’t want a standard iOS affair, so decided to give the map a little humour and have the enemies in-fight amongst themselves in the main room. The iOS room was left as more of a novelty feature.

  9. Congo - It has an atmosphere that I cannot describe which isn’t replicated in any of the other MAP01s.
  10. Yes mate, it uses the classic voodoo doll trick that you’d experience in TNT MAP30.
  11. My first encounter with Thy Flesh Consumed was on the PlayStation version back in 199-something, so only played through the non-omitted E4 maps. They stuck out as the highlights though, particularly the E4M1 from a pistol start.
  12. I absolutely love TNT. It was my first Doom, so I have a massive soft spot for it. Perhaps the nostalgic wool over the eyes hide all its flaws from me.

  14. This was a wonderful post to read! Cannot describe how happy I am to read such positive feedback. The ideas for the future megawad align slightly with ichinichi, but with a couple of twists. The E3M1 map will most probably be released on its own as Ultimate Doom community projects appear few and far between, so look out for that! :-)
