  1. Well, if there is a community project based on this, I think @GermanPeter should stablish the project's rules and restrictions, while he may not be able to host and lead a community project for various reasons, he's the one to say "hey, it should go like this..." wether is the basic restrictions, format/source port to be used, map names and rules for mappers, etc. Maybe even making a simple example map to guide participants. I am quite interested on participating on a project like this, but it needs planification first, and I'm in no position to help right now because I too don't have time to host or lead a project, but can map in the weekends.
  2. Loved your video, so many maps make sense in my mind now lol, I never really had the imagination required to see futher the abstrac design behind most of the later maps of Doom 2. I am interested in a project like this but I'm not sure what the themes would be? Another "doom 2 in name only" that basically aimed to represent more accurately the maps' names? or will it be more like a Doom 2 map remake where we take the original maps as a base to build up something more lore-accurate or visual story telling?
  3. @Ar_e_en thank you, totally missed that. @aRottenKomquat Fixed version with a changelog txt here: WitsWickedDoom_23_v3.rar
  4. I use UDB on my laptop AND Doom Builder 1 on my old Windows XP computer! It can run DB2 but it's kinda slow.
  5. I tested with crispy doom and prboom plus 2.5.1.4 But as I suggested, try using sector numbers for tags other than 0.
  6. Hmm it does open for me: Anyway, try using tags other than 0, put a sector tag in the door's sector of 1 or more, then, the same tag number for the lines on the door
  7. I'm glad to see you're still alive hehe, I enjoyed your wads when I was a child, and I have nothing but gratitude towards you for so many entertaining hours playing them.
  8. I've always liked the idea of putting a world that's in my mind into something that I can play and explore, the doom engine allows me to do that and it's just super fun to do. I also like to share things with my friends and see their reactions of the traps I put or the map layout, or the feedback they give, etc.
  9. (1) Ghost - Impera (2) Judas Priest - Screaming for vengeance (3) The Beatles - Revolver (4) Radiohead - OK Computer (5) Joji - Nectar yeah this is more like it
  10. I'm making a map with only original Doom 2 textures, and made a custom waterfall texture with (very) small bits of FIREBLU: As little as a 4 mp grid size:
  11. It was one of the first doom sites I ever visited when I was a kid! got quake 2 TC and JarJar's last pineapple fritter from your site, probably the very first custom wads I ever played... fond memories. I think we should honour people's work more often while they can see it, it's always sad to see someone die AND THEN people decide to make homage threads about how awesome their work was... and everybody can see that except the one who is not here anymore.
