  1. I also technically never beat Doom 2 as I just stopped playing it after reaching map30 and went to play btsx instead and I don't think I ever will lol. I know everyone dislikes most of the maps on doom 2 for very good reasons but genuinely that iwad bores me out the second I enter underhalls. Its ugly, repetitive and when it isn't super easy its annoying, the Icon is just a culmination of that. Its not hard, its just annoying and I'd rather not waste my time on it ever again, my inner completionist can go throat a cactus I have literally 0 patience for secret hunting so if I cant find them mid playthrough I just go to the wiki. This probably isn't that bad but I still feel the need to point it out On my first playthrough of Doom it took me ~10 attempts to beat City of Dis and I had to google how to kill the mastermind. I was playing single segment. Other maps that I sucked at in this fashion are Doom 2's Factory and Spirit World
  2. Favorite rap group is Brockhampton by far but out of them all Dom McLennon is the best rapper. Outside of Brockhampton it'd be Denzel Curry
  3. Definitely. As both the average PC has gotten better at rendering better graphics and larger levels, the Doom community has collectively improved with skill and techbases with shotgunners, imps and pinkies don't appeal to a lot of people anymore.
  4. Filmmaker is amazing, I particularly love Eternal Return and Late Stage Earth, really intense blend of experimental techno music and quite a different experience from the other stuff I usually listen to. Highly recommend him
  5. Little update on this level which I've been working on for a bit in my free time. Really happy with how its going! I've never had this much progress on a map so I hope I can get around to releasing it soon.
  6. I always thought the brain needed to be exposed so it could spawn the demons. I imagined the icon just imagines them into existence
  7. Where did you get that E2 skybox?? I love how it looks!
  8. Ripping off Sunder a bit for my first released map, taking others' styles and seeing what you like most within them is how I advance my skills in most things More detailing is necessary obviously but so far I'm happy
  9. In my opinion, if you're planning to make a giant map it has to be memorable not for just how large it is. I think maps of that scale need a defining setpiece that is instantly recognizable, otherwise its just big fight after big fight and nothing really stands out due to the sheer size of the whole map. I can't really give any examples though sadly.
