map02 obliterated the hell out of me on UV, no clue how to approach the rev/baron fight. map03 is one of my favorite doom maps this year. map04's ice shit got an excellent laugh out of me and i am inspired to do more rancid shit with ice, so cheers for that. started getting handcramps on map05 and had to call it for the day but i like this style of absolute "ok you figure it out lol" clusterfuck hot start. gg great set

it's like of doom was a super scaler arcade game (galaxy force 2, space harrier, etc). amazing

that's a great duck. i like starting maps similarly, big broad gestures that you carve away at until it's a thing. geometry is fun.

IT'S ROAST AND RAVEN WITH THE STEEL CHAIR map1+2 are easy faves. re: 1, i love the cramped spaces, economical encounters, solid resource balancing, fun semi-circle repeating sector shapes, etc. it's just a great time. 2 has really spectacular use of vertical space. the kind of map where it feels like you're surrounded by decorative sectors until you start scaling them and platforming across them. i like the way things are suggested to be sectioned off while still being given room to exist as a whole. 3 and 4 are also great but slightly less up my alley. i like spoder!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

one of the best of the 90s, by far. super good stuff. demands knowledgeable application of several obtuse skill sets. also totally makes you forget you're playing doom 1, which a lot of modern doom 1 wads don't even achieve. [edit] i keep coming back to this - this is my favorite doom 1 wad behind tambourine tangerine.
